Why only 8GB of internal memory?

I'm not against Samsung making some budget handsets, but why are they only offering 8GB of internal memory in these newest handsets? The Samsung Galaxy Avant offered 16GB of internal memory. Despite having a memory card slot, apps don't completely offload to the memory card (it keeps a certain amount of the app program in the internal memory). I found out the hard way when I bought the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime, & it only offers 8GB of internal memory. For all the apps I use, & except for 2, I needed all those apps, & it filled up the internal memory quick. With little room left, it prevented the Play Store from updating my apps. Even after moving apps to the memory card (that could be moved to the card), it only moved over at the mos...
