Xperia z4v Dead b4 its released?

Not sure what happened to "available late summer", since we are now into fall.. and the z5 has been announced... guess we will never see the z4v hit the shelves! I was really looking forward to a Sony phone, but might now reconsider the Samsung options.

When is this Z4v coming out?

This is pretty outrageous. On June 16, 2015, when Sony and VZW officially announced the Zv4, I signed up with both Sony and VZW to receive "updates" concerning the Zv4, including when this phone will be out "this summer." It is now September 4, almost fall, and I have received no "updates" to date.

I have complained to both VZW and Sony recently, and have received no information on the release date. Sony has not responded to my email at all to date. The VZW representative tried to steer me to another phone, when I stated that if the Z5 is offered unlocked in the U.S., I would contemplate changing carriers to a GSM one, such as AT&T or T-Mobile. It appears that the Z5 Premium is the most similar to the Z4v.

Note 5 vs Xperia z4v

Well since it sounds like the Note 5 wont have removable memory, its making this beast from Sony look even better! I've always loved the form factor, just always seemed they were last years specs on the phones offered at Big Red. I'm really REALLY looking forward to trying this beauty out.

I had the first Xperia Tablet

It was a great tablet, I was very happy with it until I dropped it and it broke. I purchased it slightly used from swappa.com though and got it at a slightly better price than new from Sony's online store.

Slightly off topic, Sony is pretty bad about having you send in a damaged product and fixing it. Unlike Samsung and Motorola who I have sent in broken devices several times and have had them fixed in a timely manner at a decent price.

To Be Honest.

It was overpriced, and rarely had their newest phones available.

How will the camera compare to the Galaxy S6?

Sony doesn't have the best history of great phone cameras. Will the Z4v be any better? We all know that megapixel count is not any indication.

If you compare this phone to the Galaxy S6, you must include a camera comparison as well, since this is one of the best features on the S6.

Why no love for the Z3 and Z3 Compacts?

It's sad that they haven't made this available on the Z3 and Z3 Compacts as well...

Better than the Note 4?

I've always like the design of Sony... wonder if this new would be worth switching from the Note 4? Specs look good. Hmmmm

What about a Compact?

Even if they just released the Z3 Compact on ANY carrier in the US it would be nice to have an option of a less-large phone...that said, Sony still is a great choice if your hands can manage it...

Any rumblings of the Z4 comign to Sprint?

Lots of rumors last year, but nothing came to fruition. Hopefully this year...and I agree, a Z4c would be nice.

Samsung Galaxy s6 battery life

I don't think the galaxy s6 battery life is mediocre at all. I can make it through a work day with Bluetooth on (because I have a Smartwatch) and still have 35 to 40% battery life remaining and that's also with pretty heavy use(Internet and game playing, wife texting me etc.)

Shame the Z3 Compact has NEVER been sold here...

It's crazy that the Z3 and now the Z4v will be sold in carrier stores, even if just Verizon's, but yet the Z3 Compact NEVER saw that kind of release at all in North America! It's absurd since the smaller phones are better imo and it would be nice to have the OPTION.
