Hey, guys, take a look at this link! The Samsung phone with 5-megapixel camera and 16M color display is coming soon and gonna, eventually, be available at VZW! Unfortunately, no one knows its release date.

The phone WILL work on verizon if or when it is available overseas (I dont know if it is..). Many korean CDMA phones have been successfully activated here in the USA under verizon's network..

HOWEVER.. many features of the phone will not be supported by verizon such as mobile web and voice mail. This seems universal for all (or most) forigen CDMA phones when brought to the US. Even if things such as pic messaging worked on these phones here in the US, verizon's current 1x network cannot (or will not) support sending such large images..

Tricking the CSR into activating the esn is an entirely different story. 😉

Normally nothing on the phone such as the Caller ID (besides the number), Voice Mail and Text Messaging would work on these types of phones normally imported. We have managed many man hrs into perfecting these handsets as much as possible so that only the internet access is unavailable. With that said we are still currently trying to find a solution for this as well.

By the way, a note to all phonescoop readers:

On the top right of our homepage under "group Code" if you type in "Phonescoop" you will notice a savings. On GSM handsets it can be as much as $300 while on CDMA handsets it goes up to $800+.

We dont have a confirmed price for cost of the upcoming Samsung Matrix phone, therefore our price of $3000 is only speculation. We ...

all-expo does not put research into their handsets. The voicemail indicator does not work on most of their handsets nor does the caller id.

We have put in many man hrs into developing software which enables the caller id and voice mail to work, we are still working on ways to get the MP3 players to work as well. Therefore some of the handsets we have we charge more then all-expo because of the R&D.

PS. Our software for samsung phones removes the zero which comes before the caller id which is a standard issue which does not enable it to work properly.

once u figure out the internet problem, you will really take off big time. Only thing prevented me from buying your phones( and wow, they are spectacular)is the fact that I send pics/videos etc to other phones all the time as all my pals have LG7000

Some people like yourself use pix and video messaging on a daily basis and others can do without it. If it is a huge part of your mobile phone then I wouldnt suggest getting one of ours.

Most of our clients do not mind sacrificing picture messaging if they are getting a 5 Megapixel camera into a phone as well as other features 1 of a kind features.
