"The VX8000 is coming out on the 15th of November." He talked to the head hauncho of Verizon on the Eastern Seaboard and they told him that it is next month!

I'm sorry to say that, but you're dreaming. No one will be able to see LG VX8K until the first quarter of the year 2005; that is february or march, 2005 if we're lucky. However, you may still hope and dream. The same thing happened to V710's release date. None of us was able to predict even an approximate date of its release. Think realisticly. Take off your pink glasses as far as VX8K is concerned.

Sailor Man may not be that far off. The 8000 will launch before 2005; that's guarenteed. There's only a few more items to clear up before it's given the green light.

All I can do is hope this is true because I currently have a Motorola T730 and I don't think it will last much longer. Pieces are missing from it, buttons rarely work, phone randomly turns on/off, and the list goes on.

A agree. I was in verizon the other day, getting my 3rd vx-6000 in a year, and asked the guy when the 8000 would be out. He said around summer time. Keep in mind that I live in Newark, DE so it's not a "major" city where the phone might be released earlier. Again until theres a national release date posted from LG all this is speculation.

Why would Verizon release a phone when it is least likely to make money? If the vx8000 isn't ready for christmas, everyone will be getting the "next best thing" and they would loose a lot of money. It would also be a mistake because most of us have little to no money available to us after christmas.
It is my opinion that it will be out by early december. If not by then, then by late summer 05, and that definetly won't happen.

Hi, I was just at my local Circuit City and boguht the 7000, the Verizon rep. there told the memo that came out last week said the 8000 is coming out on the 16 th of this month!!

well, i was in a verizon corporate store the other day asking about the moto v265 b4 it came out. the salesperson told me that they sent out memos the day the phone comes out. Its like, hey people we have a new phone out today, your shipment should be here already or later today. and as far as the vx8000 goes, its probably not coming out until dec. 16
