V710 Exchange Site Problem

Yesterday I was able to login on to the exchange site and able to look at phones.

Today I got this error: "We're sorry but you're not yet eligible for the New Every Two and the Equipment Upgrade promotions."

Does anyone know what this means? I didn't buy anything yesterday because I wanted to wait and see how thigs played out. But now it wont work.

Fustrating!!

V710 swap question.... please help

I was just wondering if anyone knows what the deal really is. I read on this sight that I am supposed to go to the websight, choose my phone, have them bill it to my credit card and send in my old phone for a refund. But when I spoke to someone at Verizon coustomer service, they told me that I should log into my account page on verizonwireless.com, and select phone upgrades. They have 1 phone that is free but the rest all cost money, which she said I would have to pay.

So whats the deal here?

V710 Phone Swap Website is live!

vzwshop.com/v710exchange is the website to go to. It was posted over on howard forums and it does work. Some phones (xv6700) dont show up yet and most phones are priced higher than they are on the regular verizon website. I dont think the site is finished yet. At least I hope not.

Swap website sucks!! FUC_IN Verizon!!

I swear im pissed. Finally the papers come back and I log on to the website. First of all its slow and takes 45 minutes to get to the final step. I guess this is expected. But then error on webpage everything is erased. An hour down the drain. Is it me or they just want people to give up so they dont need to replace any phones.

Has anyone been able to make the swap for full retail? I was able to get past payment screen after 2 attempts, (was getting error screen for a few attempts) the next screen wanted me to select a plan. Since I am swapping for full retail & keeping my current plan I should have been able to by pass this selection. Which I could not DO? Any one have info

Tech Difficulties with V710 Phone Exchange Site

I just got off the phone with online technical support, and they have informed me that since the V710 exchange web site is so new they are still working on issues that seem to be popping up. I got an error when confirming my order and information before processing the order. They hope to have the issue resolved soon.

I figured I will let you know so you can avoid the 12 minute hold time to get thru and for them to tell you they are working on resolving
the issue.

So, I guess more waiting until this issue gets resolved.

What happens in this case?

My V710 is broken and will not charge. Recently I had to purchase a LG VX9800 for full retail so as not to extend my contract and I was not quite eligable for the upgrade yet.

I still have my V710 (which doesn't charge). Can I get a refund in the form of a check or do I have to use the Phone Swap website. I was under the impression that VZW would be sending refund checks when you returned the phone to them.

Is this not the case?

Just to let you all know .....

I was one of the people that originally sent my form in that I printed off the internet, then they sent me a similar looking form to fill out and get back by march 3rd - I DIDNT DO IT - and still recieved my v710 settlement package yesterday.

Just for reference for those who might not have known if they should still get theirs.

I hope they are not trying to pull this on us

a little nervous... when I looked at the Verizon Wireless V710 Settlement Phone Exchange website. Why did the feel compelled to put this:

" New Every Two

By purchasing a new replacement phone to replace your existing Motorola V710, your eligibility date under the New Every Two program will be extended by 22 months from the date of the purchase.

There have been changes to the New Every Two program that may affect you. As of February 6, 2006, our New Every Two program changed and will now be based on your monthly access amount. The link below provides detailed information on the changes."

Are they trying to hint that this new phone sets us back a new every two? If not I wonder why they would place this note on this particular page....

what phone to use while V710 is mailed to VZW?

If I understand the settlement correctly, the "refund" is in fact a credit towards the purchase of a new VZW phone. according to the post by "xtgirl", we will be receiving a letter prompting our V710s to be mailed in to VZW, and a refund check will be sent to us "within 30 days."

Practical question: if we cant buy a new phone until the refund/credit check arrives, then we're without a phone for period between mailing the phone in and receiving the check to buy a new phone. Short of digging up an old phone, swapping the contacts and phone number to it (for $10 & $20, respectively), then we're without a phone for 30 days, am I right?

I also assume that there will be an expiration on this refund check. So, if we were to buy a new phone ...

A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS (V710 SETTLEMENT)

HELLO:

1. Receipt says $320. Used the $70 MIR. Does this equal a $250 credit or a $320 credit?

2. Lets figure that this equals a $250 credit. Interested in a phone priced at $100. What am I left with $0 or $150 in credit?

2. Lets figure that this equal a $320 credit. Intersted in a phone priced at $400. Can I pay the difference?

3. Razr promo is buy one for $100 get one free. With a $250 credit could I get two Razrs? Could I get four?

BTW. As others have indicated there were two mailings of the class inclusion forms. An early one and then another about 3 - 4 months later. I sent in both. Which class have I qualified for (the first or the second)?

ALSO. Others have said that they have received settlement "packages" already ...

Charging extended battery

I just received my OEM extended battery today. It seems like I've been charging the battery forever. The battery meter shows 2 bars and it's been charging for several hours now. If I stop charging the phone and check the battery meter, it'll show a full charge of 6 bars even while I play games or talk on the phone. Did anyone else have this problem with the extended battery?

Settlement upgrade and contract questions

Suppose you have a receipt for a $320 V710 and got a $70 rebate and you got the phone 20 months ago. If you take the V710 upgrade, do you get a $320 or $250 credit? More important, do you have the ability to get the new phone with your credit and get a NE2 credit 4 months later for another phone or do you activate another 2 year contract immediately? If so, you are getting screwed out of a $100 credit as part of the upgrade settlement.

Received Settlement package

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to let you know that my husband received his packet on Tuesday...I posted this over at Howard Forums as well..it appears only a couple people have received their packets so far. My husband was a member of the 1st mailing and is getting a refund check. He has to basically mail his phone back by May 30th with receipt and will receive refund check within 30 days.

I am also a member of the settlement and have not received a packet yet. Let me know if you have any questions, but I don't really have any additional info..they did not include a website to order a new phone since he is just getting a refund.

Question about settlement paperwork, please help

I originally sent in my paperwork for the v710 settlement then a few months later they sent me what looked to be the same paperwork that had to be in by March 3rd (I believe that was the date)

I never sent this paperwork back to them - did they just send this to everyone or did they expect this to be resent. Basically, if I never sent this back, am I screwed even thought I sent the original paper work in back in novemberish??

Thanks

Dial Up Networking over Bluetooth DISABLED

This used to work like a charm for me but now I get nothing. I called Verizon Tech support and they told me that the service is no longer available as a per/minute charge. They said I had to sign up for a data plan.

Anyone else having a problem using thier V710 to connect thier laptop to the internet over bluetooth?

Here we sit....

It's now March 21st and we have received nothing. This is getting a little (ok a lot) ridiculous. Even if VZW sent an e-mail stating that information would reach us in the next week would be nice. Has anybody heard anything at all ?

If you don't have your original V710 receipt ...

I believe that you can go back to the VZW store where you purchased the phone and get a copy.

I haven't tried yet but I am going to make a quick trip ot the store sometime this week.

I'ts my understanding that You need proof of purchase price to receive a full refund.
