The New Color BlackBerry 7750â„¢ is out.

The New Color BlackBerry 7750™ is out today. Last Tuesday the new LG was out. Hopefully they will continue to keep releasing new phones at this pace. Maybe the V710 will be released sooner than expected. I hope so.

what bad questions...

about upgrading early...

the more minutes you have, the earlier you can upgrade. So say you have 700 minutes you could upgrade about two months early so June. but it's the exact date so if it was the 20th of Aug it'd be June 20th.

and about the type of testing.

Does it matter what they do? they just test it. They have people use it. the same way they test anything else. Just duplicate the way users would use the phone. it will be out when it's out.

and about verizon letting costumers test it early...

No way in hell...

Release Date

I have some bad news for you all. 2 weeks ago the V710 failed horribly during testing (most verizon techs know this), they have sent it back to have the bluetooth fixed and the firmware. If you want a new Verizon/Motorola phone, I suggest you start looking at the V810, it will be coming out long before the V710. Or even start looking at the new Audiovox that is slated to be released.

Also I have started to notice alot of people making up lies on this board just to get arise out of you people. If you call Verizon and they say they have no clue, well guess what, that means they have no clue. I would even bet that 90% of the people on here who say they have a reliable source, their reliable source is somebody like there sisters bofriends co...

Testing Process

Attention verizon testers, I think we are all aware that the verizon testing process is lengthy. My question to you is, what actually goes into this testing process. What are the components and aspects being tested.
I am just a confused subscriber trying to determine why the process is a as long as it is.
Thanks in advance.

Friendly user and customer

Wonder if Verizon ever thinks of solicting friendly users prior to an official release.

I'd be happy to renew/extended my contract, and provide real user feedback, in exchange for getting the phone early at a reasonable price.

Anybody know if someone else can upgrade a phone for you if you are away?

In late May, im goin on vacation to the Dominican Republic. I have my own account and so does my sister. Is there a possible way she can upgrade the phone for me? I have asked 2 verizon stores. One tells me that with the Full Access thing that she can. But another tells me even with the Full Access thing, she cant. asked 2 salesman from the Verizon Store that had said yes. So is one store retarded?Does anybody have a definite answer?? I need to know. Please tell me thanks.

UPDATE ON RELEASE (DATE CONFIRMED)

Keep this on the down low.

My baby's mother's sister's cousin cleans the VP of Sale's office over at Motorola and saw a document stating that the release date is May 16th 2004. It mentioned promotion where the first 700 can get a free bluetooth headset. They will also have a 50dollar rebate. The cost should be 350 without a plan, 250 with 1yr and 200 with 2 year plan.

Please don't tell anyone since she just got off of welfare and likes working for Motorola's cleaning service.

Just got the V710 "WOW"

Hello to everyone! Yesterday I purchased a V710 from a private party. I was worried it was a scam when I Paypaled the money. Well, this guy was completely honest and very professional. I originally was purchasing the v810, when he mentioned he had access to a v710 (of course, I purchased it). Well I just received it and Im going to pay for 2 V810's to be sent to me on Monday! If anyone wants me to take pics or ask me questions feel free to email me. I will take pics of the phone tomorrow and I can email them to who ever wants them. I will have the v810's on Tuesday.

Promotion

As you all know, Motorola has a promotion where they're giving away either a free Bluetooth headset or speakerphone for the first 710 people to register their phone.

One little question... Since this phone already has speakerphone built in, who would opt for the speakerphone?

V710 vs. A840

http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-3504_7-5126927-1.html »

I was just on Cnet where I was a listing of Motorola's newest phones. While the V710 was not listed the was an A840 which looks alot like the V710 and the description seems quite similar. Is any familiar with the A840? How Does it differ from the V710. Here is the link to the Cnet page:

V710 vs. V810

Does anyone know what the cost of these phones will be? Realistic availability or feature differences? Seems everyone is just speculating. Any educated guesses would be appreciated. From what I'm reading the 810 will be out prior to the 710. The 710 seems to be a much better phone, but why would it have a lower model number.

The release date

The information given by both companies is correct. I am, not my baby's cousin sister or anything of that sort, but I am, an Authorized dealer for Verizon, the truth is the phone has just finished its last testing and the launch date of May 21st is correct, thats the day the phone will be shipped. Most stores will begin to carry it in stock the following Tuesday and some stores will receive it that Thursday. Internet buyers could have the option of buying it that Monday, all depending on what Marketing comes up with. The only information they will not give me until the week before is the selling price.

Ive always said (check my 4-15 post at 12am at 9900) that the 100%gospel

of all verizon phones is that once theyre avail on ebay, then its only a matter of 2 weeks or so.The v810 was just avail last few days for $499, so next week or the following at latest for it at Verizon.Once we see v710 on ebay, then we'll know that 2 weeks forth, theyll b avail. Simple and so far thats been the case 100%.
