What's up with this phone?

I was browsing and i am a huuuge fan of the v60 series and a loyal verizon customer (no problems with either yet). I currently own a v710 that I bought for its reception which is AMAZING. Two questions: 1. why does this phone have such poor battery life? My v60's battery never crapped out and according to phonescoop, the orignial v60 has something like 4 times more standby time. 2. I have searched this site (as well as many others) and couldn't find a non-ptt version of this phone. This may be a stupid question, but do you guys think Verizon will ever get a phone that is not bluetooth crippled? I love BT but it's useless on my v710. It isn't detrimental to my phone's functionability, but I still think it's a cool feature. Thanks to anyone wh...

anyone agree with me?

I would love this phone with the same battery life as the original v60, plus bluetooth (not crippled). That's all I want! Motorola, listen up! but alas, it is only a dream...

hmm

😁 Hey, I'm okay with my v60s. I hope they make a v65s for those non-PTT accounts. And I don't care how people think the v60 is a played out design. I think it's classic ;)

Why so thick? .34" thicker than V710

Why would this phone be so thick? It is .34" thicker than the V710 and has no camera, no expansion card slot, no Bluetoothand no Mp3 player.

Any ideas???

V65 without PTT?

Any word on a non-PTT version of this being offered by VZW? The V60 had some pretty loyal users, I hear.

There's no doubt VZW is losing in the PTT game to SprintPCS

I mean if this is all VZW has got for the PTT system just and update to there crappy first and only PTT phone, Then they might as well drop the system. I mean has 6 phones that utilize the system and all of them are way better than that V60 VZW has brought out and this newer one they going to bring out. None of there PTT phones can even hold a candle to the RL-2000 or RL-4920. I mean Sprin has a ready link phone with a camera, video camera and a color screen. VZW's first attemp a rehased V60 black and grey screen. And in order to get the phone you have to sign up for PTT service. Bad move VZW people liek choices when purchasing a phone. Not rules. All I'am saying is Verizon needs to get tehre **** together if they want there PTT service to be...

Beware of Motorola's "warranty"

I purchased an unlocked Motorola 878, which broke three weeks after the purchase. I sent the phone to the Motorola Texas repair center. First they lost the phone then they returned it unrepaired. I have been given several different excuses for Motorola's failure to repair, which includes the following:
(1) The phone was not manufactured in the USA (however, none of the phones are).
(2) The repair is too costly.
(3) The phone was discontinued.
(4) The repair center does not have the parts
(5) Just buy another phone.

To date, Motorola has refused to honor its one year warranty. They have not repaired the phone, replaced the phone or resolved the situtation. During my last call to Motorola, a supervisor just hung up.

IF YOUR CONSIDER...

Verizon has been quiet with their Ptt

With in the last few months Verizon has said or done anything with their PTT. I heard that Verizon would be making modification to their system; I don't know how true that is hopefully that would help. One main reason most people wanted the PTT is to be able contact people with Nextel, which I doubt that would happen any time soon. I wouldn’t bother asking Verizon Reps About Color PTT they wont know until the last minute. Keep you eyes on this site and pray for the best.

Motorola has been garbaging lately...

To be honest, no matter if its gawbage sprint to verizon the best, ever since the startac, motorola phones haven't been the same. They just keep getting worse and worse all the time. My t722i is a piece of garbage, my father and brothers v60s wit verizon is garbage...they complain of drop calls and power off by itself. I say the best quality phones and most durable are samsungs and LG's. (JUST MY OPINION)

ptt should be better

i really dont think that verizon will fail a second time!!! they really goofed on there first attempt!! but i do believe that when they launch the ptt and 2 phones they should work great!!! but the funny thing is where i live ,the ptt worked great, just hated the green screen, my connect time was about 1-2 seconds everytime!! so now i should get about a second everytime now with the new phones and revamped system!!! iam going to get the v65p when it comes out, cant wait 😁 😁

Motorola Bashers

You guys need to line up to the right and take a number. Please do not push or shove. All of you will get a turn.

Why am I not surprised that all of you with ESP are the first on any board, trashing something that you have never seen or held.

It must be nice to have such great super powers that let you time warp into the future and use these devices them jump back here to good old 2004 and let us poor mortal humans in on the real deal with these UNRELEASED phones.

GROW UP!

Ugh. WHY?!?

Just what VZW needs to resurrect their flagging PTT sales, a rehash of the first lousy PTT phone they put out. Good job, guys.

I hope they at least fixed the software issues. 😳

Jiggy Fone =)

this will be the ideal fone for me! I always loved the v60 design, but hated it because it had a green screen and very small screen. This is a drastic improvement. Does anyone know if it will be out before the 1st of august?
