I can't feel it vibrate!

Ok, just picked up this phone from T-Mobile. My previous phone was a Samsung RM225.

I like to keep the phone in my front shirt pocket (I have to wear button down dress shirts at work everyday), but I've found that I can barely feel the vibration when someone is calling. I've missed several calls...anyone else think this way?

Also, while in the bright sun driving to work yesterday, it was difficult reading the display. Even after fiddling with the constrast.

Case w/ NO clip

I'm looking for a leather case for my V180 WITHOUT a belt clip. I never clip my phone on my belt but want a case to protect it. Anyone know of any cases with a smooth back? I don't want a pouch, I want one that actually forms to the phone so I can use it with the case on. Thanks all!

V180 Charger

The charger does not seem to work when trying to charge the phone up internationally unlike past chargers for Triband phones. Anyone else have this problem?

V180 Cingular at Wal-Mart

This handset has arrived for sale at Wal-Marts in Houston branded and kitted for Cingular Wireless. This is odd as Cingular has never been listed as a potential provider and is not even listed on the cingular.com website.

Pricing is as yet unknown, but if Cingular's current trend of selling and servicing unlocked world-band handsets holds, the V180 will be sold unlocked.

Unrelated to the subject, I am initially disappointed by this handset's build. The entire device is plastic, and while visually sharper and feature-wise more advanced than the V66, the feel is rather cheap and toy-like. The smaller screen is disappointing when viewed side by side with a VX00 device, and the onboard USB connection point is perplexing in its inclusion...

delayed key beeps and speakerphone?

Hello,

Can anyone tell me if the V180 has these same "problems" as the V300?

1. Delayed key beeps while on speakerphone...the beep comes a split second after pressing a key. Only on speakerphone.

2. When a call comes in, you have to first answer it normally and then after connection, switch to speakerphone. You can't answer from speakerphone directly.

Thanks all!

External Plug-in Port

My question is does the V180 have an external plug-in port for an antenna adaptor to then connect to a mag mount antenna?

V180 Accessories

A little background: After doing a bit of research, I decided to go to the dark side and get a Motorola flip phone (almost everybody I know has them). I've always been a Nokia user, starting with a 2190 years ago and most recently a 6200 (with various other Nokia models in between). I just discovered the V180 and it seems to have everything that I want without the features and gadgets I don't need. I've read the reviews here (mostly positive) so I decided to order a V180 for myself and one for my wife.

Now the question: It seems that accessories are pretty limited for the V180 (at least genuine Motorola). I've always liked using holsters and would like one for the V180. Can anybody recommend a good holster for this ph...

charger issues

does anyone have any clue why motorola didn't use the same charger plug in as the v66, v300, v600, ect? instead of the two-prong piece they usually use they have made it more like a nokia, one prong charger. why? 😕

Audio Quality

How does this phone perform with reception in regards to being in city office buildings? Also, how well does the ear piece work for loud driving conditions, does it have strong volume?

if the connector is T720/T722i style
then you can use moto bt adaptor, and connect computer/pda without cable
the adaptor supports:

Selling brand new V600

I haven't seen others do this on here so I'm not sure if this is an appropriate method for selling.
I received a brand new replacement phone from LockLine due to my old phone being lost.
Long story short, it took weeks for my phone to be replaced with this service and I couldn't wait so I bought a 6820 which I like much better than the V600.

So I'm selling this new, NOT refurbished, complete phone in-box for $250 shipped to anyone in the lower 48 states.

If this is permissible to sell on here and you're interested in buying my phone please contact me, joelmikle, at my hotmail account.

Released by ATTW now

I called ATTW National Business Sales for the MPX 220 and found that this phone as well as the V220 have been released. Yet, I don't remember seeing it on their website.

Would this work in Trinidad?

We use 1800mhz band but I see that this phone is 1900/1800/800 and the Eurasian version is 900 instead of 800 or 850. Would I need to get the Eurasian version?

one more thing

Although the v180s screen is bigger than the V66s, Motorola should have given the V180 an even bigger 128x160 screen. I know its an entry level flip, but the standards have increased sice the 128x128 screen was the common size. It seems that 128x 160 screens are the standard now. This is a decent screen size and a good position behind the V400s (and its variants) 176x220 screen size.
