Unlocked 6820 IM

I have a 6820 that is unlocked and running on a cingular network.

When I try to use the built in IM client, there are no IM providers listed and I don't seem to have the ability to add any.

If I try to use the AOL IM client from Media.net I am told that it is not compatible with my phone.

HELP!!

Will it work?

Ok, so I have been reading a lot of different things on here about this phone not working with the AIM client that is supposed to be on the phone, etc... My question is, if I buy a 6820 that is locked to AT&T, will it work with Cingular, (I'm guessing it will because Cingular took over AT&T), will AIM on the phone work, and will bluetooth with the phone work? Any help with this would be much appreciated. I was really excited when I found this phone because I really want a phone with a qwerty keyboard, camera, and bluetooth. Was thinking about getting the moto a630 but found it was too much of a hassle getting it to work properly with 850mhz networks.

Recurring Calendar Items

I have just connected the 6820 using the PC Connect to sync my Outlook calendar and contacts, and have noticed that none of my recurring calendar events are visible in the daily view. Weekly view show that the time is not free, but I have nothing in the daily view. Has anyone encountered this problem? Could there be a setting that I am missing in the set-up?

Thanks.

6820 or 6800???

I am looking for a good phone that I can use with a calender and contacts. Simple PDA functions at a good price. I have heard that the 6800 can handle it, but is it worth it to go with the 6820?

Any ideas???

Storing things to SIM

How can you make sure you have all the information on your 6820 to you SIM? I got my other (SE T616) unlocked and want to be able to use the two phones interchangeably.

Thanks

6820 or F9100

I currently have the 9100 and am disappointed in the keyboard only being able to be used with txt messaging, sms im or contacts. Plus no bluetooth depreciates its value to me too.

I was wondering if anyone could confirm that the keyboard is good for sms AND text entry on the internet. and wondering what others might think between these two choices.

Transferring a jpeg via bluetooth

Hi all.

I tried to transfer a jpeg from another phone via bluetooth. The image was transferred and i was able to view it in my phone. After i select the option to 'save', i get the chance to change the file name and once i press 'ok', i dont know where the image is saved. The next screen that automatically comes up is the 'gallery' withouth any change in the folder memory sizes. When I open the images folder, it shows 'empty' even though it is not. I understand that the image should have been saved in the images or graphics folder in the 'gallery' but it is not. I would appreciate it if any of you people could tell me if you have or do experience this same wierd problem. I also tried the same with infrared transfer and the result is the ...

External Antenna?

☚ī¸
Anybody knows if you can plug an external antenna to the 6820? I am in one area where the connection is very poor (just in the house once outside it is ok) so I was thinking to plug one of those external antennas.

I looked into it and most of them have the round universal "plug" so I am looking to see if there is a connector you can plug an external antenna.

Thanks

6820 horribe reception in Asia Pacific

The firs time I have been out of the country with my 6820. It has horrible reception, keep loosing the signal, I called ATTWS twice they gave me some kind of excuse that they have contract with one providor at 900mhz and another contract with another providor at 1800mhz. A friend of mine has a nokia 7210 and they have great reception.

This is not an International phone as advertized !!!!

It sucks đŸ‘ŋ
