backwards compatible?

Is the T630 compatible with the HPM-10 MP3 player? The SE website doesn't say it IS, but it doesn't say it isn't either.

T630 Improve Your Camera Pictures!

This tip was on esato.com ...

As soon after you snap your picture, start tapping the joystick "in" to "SAVE". The idea is to get it to save before the T630 firmware does it's compression. If you do it right you end up with a black screen. Go to my pictures and you should have a much improved photo.

Cnet.com has a picture of the T630 with the T637 name scheduled for release in May! I wonder witch phone did they mean?

so, will the t630 be released in the USA, or just the t637?

Anybody know whether the t630 will be released in the USA, or whether it will just be the t637?

the difference, as far as i can tell, is that the t630 is a 900/1800/1900 phone, and the t637 is an 850/1800/1900 phone. And that the T637 doesn't come in white, only in black.

and a related question - do 900/1800/1900 phones get worse reception or less network coverage in the USA than 850/1800/1900 phones? I'm thinking about buying a T630 on a trip to Hong Kong, but if it won't work as well as the T637, I don't mind waiting untill the T637 is released.

given up waiting

4th quarter, 1st quarter. whatever! Phone makers promote their products a half a year ahead of time and still can't deliver. I got something else instead that's available "now".

time frame?

I was very interested in this phone. But now I could care less. I would buy the Sony Ericcson T630 but I'm playing the same waiting game with that phone 🙂

My previous experience with SE is that those phones rock. I busted my T68i and decided to go with a Siemens (needed bluetooth and they didn't sell the T68i anymore) and I wish I could have stayed with SE. Especially if you need bluetooth. All other bluetooth users, check out the coolest app ever sallingclicker.com to control your iTunes, iPhoto, DVD player, etc. Awesome if your a Mac user.

BTW - why does the overseas market kick the US's ass when it comes to phones and availability?

Talk time on 630 compared to other phones

The 630 looks great provided that the talk time is as good as I believe it is. What do you think would be a reasonable talk time under ordinary operating conditions? The specs on Phonescoop show 14 hours which seems like a lot compared to anything else that I've seen.

Still uglier than the T68...

🙄 Why won't those bastards at Sony learn?

Nobody made a phone as beautiful as Ericsson's design team did.

Does anyone know what the metalic square on the back is

It couldn't be a flash, could it? Is it a mirror? Do any camera phones have flashes?
