Best data kit for my samsung

This thing is called handset manager data package, I got this from California, it helps me to modify wallpapers, pictures, ringtones, even phone book memories! I will find out more features to share with you later since I'm still trying to see how to use this kit to log on internet.... really a neat product!

Camera on Samsung SGH-P107

I just got this camera 3 days ago and since the first day it kept "rebooting" itself the majority of the times when I selected View or Take Photo. I like the look and feel of this phone but am seriously doubting its durability. Let's see if it can deliver all it promises.

problem with network or phone...?

I bought the phone over memorial day weekend, and I've had no major problems with it other than occassionally I'm unable to make outgoing calls. A message will pop up after pressing send saying "Emergency calls only" or even "Network failed". It's not a problem to run over to Best Buy and have them give me a new phone, or is it not the phone at all and maybe the Cingular network? Any input would be much appreciated.

Hands Free

Hi,

I am planning to buy this hands free for my samsung p107.

http://store.yahoo.com/cellphoneshop/haforsasgvm.html »

($2.90 + $4.99 shipping and handling)

I don't know what brand it is. Will this damage my phone? Is it possible to use an ordinary ear-phone with the cell without causing any damage?

Is there anyother good deal to buy the handsfree?

Thanks,
TK

Help with Phone Memory

Well I was trying to get a ringtone for my phone via the Wireless Interent feature and when I downloaded the ringtone and attempted to save it, it said that my memory was full and that I would need to clear up space. Well According to my memory status, my phone has 30/500. I have already downloaded some other ringtones and would like to know if it is possible to delete them so that i can make space for this new one. Thanx a bunch ^_~

question about p107

Hi everybody,

I was wondering if there was a way to display the clock on the main screen?

Also I was wondering if there was a way to light up the outside clock screen when the phone is closed by pushing the side volume buttons (etc)?

Thanks for your help.

questions

Hello all:

This is my first phone. The questions might seem silly. Please do answer. Thanks!

Does samsung p107 phone support voice commands? If yes, how to access them?

Is it possible to use any USB data cable to transfer files from a PC to the phone?

The phone has a slot for the charger. Where to plug the data cable? In the same slot?

Will I be charged by cingular (my service provider) for transfering files from PC to phone using the USB data cable?

Will I be charged by cingular for using IrDA feature in the phone? How to use IrDA?

Yesterday I 'rebooted' my phone and found 'GP' appearing in the display. I know that this represents the GPRS network. What does this signify? How is it different from GSM? Will I ...

Earpiece and voice volume?

Is it me or does the Samsung P107 suck when you are using an earpiece? It gets really buzzy, I've tried two already, is my earpiece slot messed up? Anyone have a brand name earpiece that works good with this phone? Also, how do you adjust the voice volume when you are on a call.. mine doesn't seem to work. Thanks in advance...

having trouble getting infrared to work

Hi there,

I just bought a p107 a few days ago and am still in the process in learning more about it.

For some reason I am not able to get the infrared to work on the cellphone. My previous phone (Sony Ericsson T306) had no problems connecting to my laptop, and I was able to easily transfer MIDI and JPEG files back and forth.

My laptop (on Windows XP Pro) recognizes the infrared connection established with the phone, but when I try to send a file I get a message saying that the connection has been refused by the device.

Anyone else having the same problems?

Thanks!

Hi, I want to get either a motorola v400 or samsung SGH-P107. I was wondering which ones camera is better and which one will have a better outcome of the picture? Also how many pics can this camera hold? And for the motorola v400 does it show the date and time on the closed fliptop panel or not?

Thanks

P107 Address Book ?

Does the P107 have an address book feature or just a phone book?

I checked their website and it appears there is only a phone book, but I want to be sure before making a decision.

Thanks.

poor reception...?

I've had the phone for almost two weeks and returned the first phone because it had very poor reception. Unfortunetly the new phone also has poor reception, something I have not experienced in my area with Cingular. I'm thinking of returning the p107 for the Motorola V400, I've heard its reception is very good. Has anyone else experienced this reception problem?
