Anyone get the 2.3.6 OTA update yet?

I've been reading since early this morning that this is being pushed out to phones now, but I have yet to see it on mine...anyone else get it yet (besides the leaked version)?

Speaker phone full- or half-duplex?

Hard as heck to find the answer via Google. Anyone know?

Thank you!

Uh Oh... good luck

Moto has sexy devices but OTA updates can be interesting with them from my experience and their recent history.

Reset of phone because of built in battery?

Looking at getting the Maxx, but concerned about not being able to pull the battery. Has anyone had any problems so far?

Thank you.

Radio Improvements?

Does anyone now have the maxx that had the razr? I have read on a few reviews (even from engadget) that the maxx not only has a better battery, but also that the radios were tweaked and as a result it gets better/more stable signal?

Anyone experience that?

Apple

What pisses me off is that when a company like Motorola can do something great like offer a 3300mAh battery in a small form factor, people are like, ok cool. But if Apple were to do it, it's somehow "magical" 🙄

times of charging

how much time takes this phone to charge? it has a nice battery but, if i have to wait 12 hours to fully charge it everytime, that could be a problem. 😕

Waiting on end of contract

When I'm eligible for an upgrade this May (yes May) I am grabbing this device. Unless Motorola and Verizon comes out with another huge battery 4G android (hopefully 4.0) device by then my eyes are set on the Razr Maxx. 🤤 🤤

Ear piece volume

Wonder why the Maxx would have lower volume than the original Droid Razr? 😕
Perhaps it'll be bumped back up with an update?

Droid 4 battery - is it removable?

Rich,

I've been hearing different information about whether or not the Droid 4 battery is removable or not. From your video and pics it looks like there might be a battery cover on the back of the phone. So does this phone have a removable battery? Thanks in advance.

Battery Life

I got this Thursday afternoon. 50% full out of the box. Immediately charged it... took about 3 hours to get to 100%. I spent approx 6 continuous hours on it that evening downloading apps and setting it up the way I like it. When I went to bed the battery was still 60% full. I checked when I woke up and it was 40%. I used it throughout the day with normal use. The battery was down to 5% around 9pm that night. Given this use I would expect most people to still have to charge it nightly but there should be no issues getting through the day unless you stream a lot.

Just release the phone already

With rumors floating around and Verizon employees not knowing anything about this phone. I wish Verizon or Motorola would just release it already. Some reports claim Motorola wants to show off on this phone February 6th. I turned my Razr in just under thirty days in hopes it would be out on the 26th. Now I'm back to my old Droid X. It's so slowwwww. Just release the phone! You can do your showing off later. 👿

Hold the flames...

but this is exactly why I'm done with Android.
Seriously no offense to Android owners, but a flagship replacing a 2 month old flagship is just rediculous.

No spring assist..????

Quote:

"...The slide mechanism is difficult to slide open (there's no spring assist) and even more difficult to close..."

Oh My GOD! That's a deal breaker for me!!! Why no spring-assist like everyone else does? It's so much easier. smoother, and easier!! Motorola, How many times do we need to repeat the same request, over and over again!! Are you deaf or what??

I was soooo hoping for that phone. I am afraid I will need to look elsewhere. Very sad and disappointed.! 😈

Putting this in perspective

I don't see this as a RAZR replacement. It's a different kind of phone.

Motorola managed to make the guts of the phone practically disappear. With that engineering magic, they could have done two things:

1. A really thin phone with a normal battery.

2. A normal-size phone with a really big battery.

The Droid RAZR is the former. If you value thin-ness over battery life, get that one.

The Droid RAZR MAXX is the latter. If you value battery life over thin-ness, get that one.
