This Phone???

Can someone tell me why you are all waiting for this phone to be in VZW stores???? This phone has no advantage over any of the phones scheduled to come out in the next 6 months. The only pro I see is battery life, and BREW, which all the new phones will have.

So why wait for this, when the V810 is going to come out before it anyways. It has better features, for less battery life.

P.S. where is the camera/camcorder on this phone, there is none! This phone would have been amazing 6-8 months ago, but now its just "old".

I work for Verizon in the midwest, and we just got the dummy phone for the KY slider in today. It is going be be released on March 9th, and is $99 with a 2 year contract, and $149 with a one year. I'll try and keep everyone up to date on anything new, and if you have questions please dont hesistate to ask.

Verizon Wireless

I saw a few of these phones on Ebay and some sellers claim they are unlocked and will work under Verizon Wireless. Does anyone know if it is true or not, because Verizon has never even heard of this phone and say that the only phones that are commin out within the next 6-8 months are Samsung camera phone at the new LG phone.

Worth Cost/Color Choices

WOW.. I've read some of your posts saying that the Slider will be going for under $100. 😳 I kind of wish I had gotten MINE that inexpesively, but then again, if you have a pre-paid or flat-rate carrier, you may pay more for your phone, than from a "contract" carrier. You may end up spending $239 for your phone - JUST the PHONE. (They have to make their money somewhere, I guess). 🤭 In the long run, the pre-paid or flat rate service is saving you money, so you've paid for your phone on what you've saved in just a few phone calls. So it breaks even, I think.

I have my Slider through MetroPCS, which is a "flat-rate" carrier. ($35/month for unlimited local or $40 for unlimited local AND unlimited long distance, plus whatever taxes ...

Release Date

I was recently at a convention with many vendors present. Kyocera reps showcased the Kyocera SE47 (Silver) for Verizon Wireless. The phone is a lot sweeter than what the picture shows. It was a live model and I placed a test call using the 2-way speaker and it worked great. The rep stated that the phone is just about finished in its testing stage and should be released at the end of February. Pricing will be under $100.

Anyone know a way around the pre-defined webpages for MTV on the Virgin Slider? I'd love to be able to access other ringers and stuff...

Polyphonic Ringtones

How many chords does this have, I don't think it's on the information sheet. Maybe I'm just blind 😛 .
