Kyocera SE47 / SE44 / V5 (Slider)

Does this phone have the capability to set different rings for different people?

On my old phone when I had speakerphone activated and I answered a call all I had to do was hit the answer key and the speakerphone was already on. Is this how the Kyocera SE47 works also? or will I need to turn the speakerphone on each time I answer a call? Thanks for reading my post.

does anyone know if you can charge this phone and speak at the same time? The reason I ask is because I heard about this. Please confirm, thax ;-)

I have the choice of a Kyocera SE47 or a Audiovox CDM-8900. Which one do all of you suggest?

thinking of buying this. from what i've read, sounds good but i'm not sure of a couple of things:

1. does the phone have a mute capability (mute the microphone)?

2. when set to vibe then ring, can the ring volume vary? will it work with a very loud ring?

can i wrap around scroll on the slider like when your going up and when you get to the top go all the way to the bottom again??????? if so,how.....obviously

for those of you who want to talk with the slider closed but dont wanna remove the magnet, here you go. i stumbled onto this last night. sorry it's not as practical as it could be but...

to talk with the phone closed over the earpiece, plug in a headset and initiate a call. during the call slide the phone closed. then, simply remove the headset. there you go! sound now comes out of the earpiece with the phone closed, and although the mic is covered seems strong enough to pick up sound.

if you wanna talk on speaker with the phone closed it's a little more complicated, but basically the same idea... first turn speaker phone on and make a regular call. then, plug in a headset, slide the phone closed, and unplug the headset. when ...

I got a strange package in the mail on Friday from a promotions company in the mid-west. Inside was a really nice jacket with the Kyocera logo on the right arm and a huge SLIDER logo on the right breast. I can't for the life of me think of where this came from and both Verizon and Kyocera deny knowledge of sending it to me...

Anyone else got one of these? If so, where?

(Its actually a really cool jacket with a nice inside pocket built specifically for a cell phone and all - looks like the jacket cost in the $75-100 range...)

I am searching for a new cell phone through Verizon and am now testing out a Samsung A670 which is their newest phone. The only problem I am running into with it is, is that it is not loud enough to be heard when it rings. My second choice was the Kyocera SE47 slider phone. I liked the design very much but would really like to ask someone who owns this phone a few questions. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

1. Can you talk on this phone while charging?
2. Is the ringer fairly loud?
3. Do they include normal ringers (not melodys)?
4. Does it keep a pretty good singal?

Does anyone know if Verizon will be releasing this phone out for their subscribers? I ask because this one has more features, mainly the AMPS 800 is what attracts me because it's Tri-mode. I'm not too partial to all digital.

Has anyone sucessfully changed their Verizon Slider phone to access the wap internet for free. I already went through some changes by pressing 111-111 and then options, and browser settings. and changing the uplink to the free server, but with no luck.

could anyone tell me the games on this phone i know tetris i think thats the thing that made me go for this phone but what others? i would like a descripion to cuz i dno what there like....so what if i have to wait longer and cut grass more tetris on a cell phone is worth it! 😁

i like the phone in general but silder is starting to be pain in the butt. i can not take the phone outta my pocket w/ out phone getting opened and answering the call. i had to disable my open to answer because of it. is there any way at all to make sliding portion of the phone harder to open or to "lock" better at the bottom or anything at all.
