The official NATIONAL launch date is February 16th for AT&T Wireless .

The prices are as follows:
No service agreement: $369.99
1 year agreement: $339.99
2 year agreement: $299.99

The phone to my knowledge comes locked. There are no offical announcements that make it availible for any other carrier. No corporate discounts will be immediatly availible, and there will be no other mail in or additional rebates immediatly availible. (By saying that I know in the future, even possibly recently that may be true, I'm saying for right now).

If people in Chicago get it early, hurray for them. Motorola is based in Illinois. But even then until I see something official or even pictures of 5 or 6 different people with the phone I j...

You are wrong on one point, that there will not be any corporate discounts immediately available. I talked to our corporate rep and she said our foundation account number will qualify for an immediate 50% off discount of the $299 price making the final price $150.

They also said the phone will be available February 16th through the national corporate sales channel and the discount will be available immediately. Sorry to contradict your one statement, but I thought I would set it straight for those with foundation accounts.

Hey if thats the case thats GREAT for you. My experience with the National Business Office is simply that once a NEW phone is availbile they give it a month before they apply any discounts through Foundation Account Numbers. Bravo if true though!

You're wrong on another point. Cingular will launch the phone in March/April. That is offical, source:

Other websites are selling the phone at a much higher price, because it is a very highly anticipated world phone that is unlocked.

I work for AWE. I've seen the price sheets. But when we release the phone, it will be locked and branded for AT&T.

thank you very much for the info hot md!

Is there any way to unlock the phone? I am from the Philippines and I would like to buy a v600. Unfortunately, I can't use one if it's lock to ATT 😢

Prices are already coming down in Europe. Saw the V600 in a Munich Vodaphone store 2 weeks ago for 199 Euro (about $255) which was unlocked and included a bluetooth Jabra headset w/ 2 year commitment.
