HTC Droid Eris

Spoke to my direct Verizon IDR and got the scoop on the upgrade. Apparently HTC's Sense UI isn't cooperating with Android 2.1 a.k.a. Snapdragon. So it looks like it could be delayed until May or June. 👀

Had my phone plugged into the car, while driving I noticed the Orange light was blinking back and forth from Orange to green . Has anyone had this happen to them? No other notifications were present at the time, thanks

Any way to erase UR conversations without having to sign out. My buddy has the Droid and his phone has an option to erase his conversations but I can't seem to one on the Eris . Thanks

Ok, love the eris, is there a way to do a quick auto-empty of the voice mail? I've got 40 messages and not enough time to sit and listen to each one.

ok so my eris had been off for like a month then with no service for about a 2 weeks and 2 days ago i turned it on and it took aboout 5 minutes for it too load everything and still recieve messages ect. anyways i got the screen that say upadte ready or whatever and it said install now,install later, remind me later and i clicked install now and thenit just turned off.....did any1 get the update besides me...im not sure if it installed or not but im pretty sure it didnt lol

ok so this girl at work was talking about her friend useing her blackberry curve to search the web using her 3g singnal from her blackberry.... if im correct this is called tethering... i was wondering if ANYONE knew if this was possible on the eris 🤨????? or if the eris has to be "rooted" or moded in some way in order to do this..im willing to try anything in order to make this doable on my eris...SO PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ANY ANSWERS ON HOW TO MAKE THIS WORK PLEASE PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN....THX IN ADVANCE

What OS is currently running on the phone? I had the phone for about 3 weeks and then returned it but it was lagging doing anything. I've read several places online including here where you can get a leaked copy of the newer OS but what the official OS on the phone and whats available if anything?

I've had my Eris for not quite 5 days now, and I've noticed a lot of quirks/possible bugs. I'm wondering if I may just have a bad unit, or if this is a problem with Eris in general or this version of the OS, or if it's Android in general. Here is what I've found so far:

- A couple of days ago, my email accounts just disappeared. I went to check email, and it wanted me to set up a new account. Both accounts that I had previously set up were just gone.

- A couple of times, the phone has completely frozen up so I couldn't unlock it. So far this has only happened when it was charging, plugged into my PC via USB. Eventually after a few minutes, it came back to life, but still an annoyance.

- I have not been able to get it connected to an...

Just a couple of hours ago, I went to look at my email accounts on my phone (I have a Windows Live POP3 account and my work email, which is ActiveSync), and they had randomly disappeared. Whenever I tried to go into email, I got the setup screen because the accounts were just gone. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I did some research and found that it's happened to some Motorola Droid users, but I haven't found anything specific to the Eris (which is running a different OS I believe).

I just got my Eris on Saturday and have since discovered that there is no Bluetooth voice dialing. I did some research and it sounds like it's an Android OS issue (an email to HTC also confirmed this). Is there any planned upgrade to fix this, or is there a hack to get it working? I'm used to putting my Bluetooth headset on in the car, pushing the button, and having it activating voice dialing so all I have to do is say "Call [person] home" and it will work - basically, I don't have to touch my phone or take my eyes off the road at all. The Eris doesn't work that way.

Purchased a song from Amazon , but won't show up in my music . I opened my file explorer app and tried moving the song manually to my music folder but when I open the player no sign of the song. Anyone experience this... thanks for any input

Opinion time! What is everyones favorite apps? Looks like I might be getting my Eris here pretty soon, just want to be prepared! Is anyone having troubles with the you tube client? When I open it up and try to play a clip, it says the clip cannot be played at this time.

I am wondering if it is possible to individualize text message tones on the droid eris. I have not been able to figure out how if it is possible. Anyone able to help me out?

I'm having an issue, I am not able to sync any email account ie yahoo, or business account. except for gmail. I keep getting an error message that says verify username/password, and my work email doesnt require a corporate email data plan.
any advice?

I just realized the only mail I'm NOT receiving on my Eris is my gmail. I get verizon mail, yahoo mail, etc. but not gmail. That's a little weird because i set up the gmail account before I got the phone and my contacts all appeared magically on my phone. It's not putting calendar appointments on the phone either which I know it used to do. Do I need to do something specific to get the automatic sync working? Thanks in aadvance.
