called-ID for "unknown number"

Is there a way to assign a particular ringtone to "caller id unavailable" or "unknown number" calls?

Barring that, is there a way to assign a ringtone to an entire group? What's the point of groups otherwise?

Complicated

My roomie just got this cell phone yesterday, I was playing with it, going through the menu and settings, I realized it's more complicated to use than my Motorola, maybe Im just too used to my Motorola, but I didnt like to push buttons to go thruough the menu, the cell phone is very nice I was surprised because it looks better in your hands than on the web site... FINALLY, NEW ANIMATED SCREEN SAVER ON 8900

Maybe I'm stupid or the last one to figure it out but I was sick and tired of the only animated screen saver on the 8900 being that stupid girly flower blowing magic pollen in the air. This phone was really made for a girl.
I tried sending myself an animated fish gif a few months back but it didn’t recognize the format.
I accidentally found a forum which said that the 8900 used .SAF extension on its screensaver not .GIF . SAF stands for simple animation format.
After spending a whole day trying to find SAF animated files or an APP which would create or edit SAF files, I gave up.
This morning though I had a brain storm. Why not just try to change the .GIF extension on my old aquarium gif to .SAF .
I did and sent it to myself through my...

just got one

Alright I just got a 8900. I figured it can't be all that bad, and it will do until the 9900 or the 710 come out. So far not a bad phone. one problem is: I set my call answer feature to any key, but it doesnt work...I still have to hit the send key to pick up calls, and I do not like the flip open option. Only other problem was some how my pix messages were being forwarded to online album rather than allowing me to open them up on the phone...I brought it in and they unforwarded my messages with (star -73- send), Told me (star-72-send) makes all calls also go into auto forwarding- GOOD TO KNOW. No problems other than that. Nice picture quality, like the a610, but no zoom on camera which I was used to with the 6000, and the a610. Ringer...

J2ME/Java?

I see this site says this phone has J2ME
("carrier dependent"?). Either the phone
has a JVM in it, or not. I can't find any
mention of this on the Audiovox website
(surprise!).

Anybody know the real scoop on this?

Is there any better car kits than audiovox has for this phone? Or do you think that down the road there will be more compatable kits with this phone?

Antenna Adaptor

I use a Wilson Antenna and the adaptor they sent me is just a small round plug. Isn't the adaptor supposed to be a flat plug that inserts into the bottom of the phone? Or am I missing something completely?
