BB Tour trackball?

Is it just my phone or is anyone else having issues with their trackball? I have to scroll it like 2 to 3 times before it moves to the actual icon, vertically its only OK but horizontally its weird.

Ok so I have the LG Dare. And I get sick of phones incredibly easily. I got it in May and I'm already tired of it. I really want a blackberry, the blackberry tour preferably, butttt I cannot upgrade and I dont want to pay 500 fricken dollars (which is nuts!!!) for the phone on verizon. Anyone got any ideas?!?!

future features?

Don't love touchscreen so not sure if Storm is for me. Anyone know when Verizon will see a BB that has similar features (3.2 megapixel, wifi,..) but with keypad and optical pad (goodbye trackball)?? Does it have a name?

Sprint Tour-Growning Known Issue of Dropped Calls

Like many, I continue to drop calls or lose signal with the Tour (Sprint). I've read where others are experiencing this issue as well. I'm using OS 4.7.1.40. Some have said an OS update when available should fix this. Others have said its a Sprint network issues. Would anyone like to clarify or add? Highly frustrating when you are on a call and have to call back 4 times in 2 minutes to finish a conversation. Thanks for the help.

Trackball issues explained

I spoke with a salesperson yesterday at a local VZW store about the Tour and its issues. The man told me that the trackball issues have been caused by a software issue rather than a physical problem. He explained this is being rectified and should be done soon. Does this sound legitimate?

Printing & Storing SMS

Is there a way to print the SMS I have saved on my Tour? Also, is there a way to AUTOMATICALLY save incoming SMS on the Tour? Thanks.

Printing & Storing SMS

Is there a way to print the SMS I have saved on my Tour? Also, can I set up my Tour to automatically save all incoming messages without saving each one as they come in? Is there any external software that I can install in my computer to allow me to transfer and save all the SMS to print out later? Thanks.

space bar

On the Curve when I tapped the space bar I was able to see the call log. I don't see this option on the Tour. Am I missing it? If so, how do I set it up?

Thanks...Scott

MMS?

Can you send pictures on the Tour through MMS or did Sprint block this again?

Someone please explain if sending pics are any different on this Tour compared to Sprint Curve.

Only two days left to return TOUR! HELP!

Okay, so I really do love the TOUR and have posted this about having trouble before but I only have TWO days left before my 30 day trial is up!

HELP! I sometimes have luck with it but ALOT of time have trouble with people hearing me. The phone is just so nice aside from that one fact and it's mostly with the bluetooth in the car! Lately, not quite as bad though which I don't understand.

Thinking about returning it and getting the credit back on my account and waiting for the STORM 2 to come out? Good idea!? Or should I just stick with the TOUR? Can't decide! HELP! Going to the mall today and wanted to make the decision to stop in the verizon store there!

New Verizon pricing

I see that Verizon just reduced the price of the Tour and the Storm by $50. The new pricing (before any New Every Two discount) is $149.99 for the Tour and $49.99 for the Storm. I wonder why.

Will the Tour support a US SIM card?

I noticed on the stats page for the Tour on Phone Scoop it listed both CDMA and GSM radio bands. Is this a typo?

Can this phone be registered for say Sprint on the CDMA side and have an AT&T SIM for GSM and work at the same time?

Or does it only allow CDMA or GSM one at a time?

I would appreciate a reply from someone who has tried a GSM SIM card in this bad boy.

Thanks!

Latest on the Verizon BB Tour?

Hi all. I am closing in on my NE2 date and am wondering whether you've experienced any improvements in the quality of the Tour now that it has been out a while. I'm wondering whether RIM has worked out some of the bugs that plagued the Tour early on. Below is what I'm wondering...
-loose battery door
-poor battery strength
-poor call quality
-trackball sticking
-slow OS and rebooting issues
Can you provide some feedback on whether RIM has worked out some of these bugs? And is it true that there have been far less issues with the BB devices made in Canada as opposed to those made in Mexico? Your feedback is very much appreciated.
Thanks evryone.

Ringtones

I have a Verizon Tour. I purchased a song from Verizon's site that I would like to use as a ringtone, but can't figure out how to get it from my playlist into a ringtone. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

WiFi Questions

I hear the new Storm 2 will have WiFi. Question...and forgive me if i sound dumb cuz i'm new to all this smartphone stuff.....

If you have WiFi on your phone is there a need to have a data plan from your carrier? WiFi is free right? So i would just need to open up browser and go if i have a WiFi signal right? If so, why have a data plan? And would my carrier still somehow bill me for going on internet if i use WiFi? Please help me understand. Thanks

Would RIM do a Ruggedized Tour?

The Tour to me is almost the perfect SmartPhone save for the lack of Wi-Fi and the ruggedization of something like the Casio GzOne Type V (which I currently own) do you all think it would move RIM to produce a waterproof, shockproof, rubberized, ruggedized Tour? Would it make good business sense? Would you current Blackberry owners consider one? Why or why not? Anybody know who to contact to suggest something like this? Thanks all!

IT'S HOT!

And I don't mean good looking. So while the phone is in use, whether on a call or just playing around with it, the lower back portion of the phone get really hot. Any explanations? Taking it back for a replacement Tour, but would still like to know.
