LG enV Touch VX-11000

Hey guys i saw on the verizon site that this phone has the family locator. What does it do?

FINALLY! It's out and available for download! Go to Browse and Download, Get New Applications, and then to Sports.

I had the Voyager and when talking to my daughter in another state,she would put grandson on phone who is just learning to talk and I would hold in clear button for a few seconds and be able to record what he was saying and it would get stored in my sounds folder. Now with the touch I cant do that,anyone know if it is possible to record a call or did LG or Verizon do away with that feature? Figures they give some new features and take away others.Can anyone answer this? Thanks.

Does anyone know how to get text msgs off the enV Touch onto a PC? I need to archive some for later and I can't do it.

With my Dare, I used bitpim on my Mac. It worked fairly well. But the latest Mac version doesn't support the enV Touch. The PC version says it does and the enV Touch is even listed in the phone drop down but I can't get my work PC to recognize the phone?

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated since my inbox is full of msgs I need to save...

I transferred a few songs from my mac to my env touch via bluetooth today and it automatically put them into 'My Sounds' folder. Does anyone know how to transfer them from the 'My Sounds' folder to the 'My Music' folder?

Some of the songs i have on my micro sd card cannot play on the touch. the format is mp3 but i just cannot play it. sadly i tried the sd card with the same song on my sister's enV3 and it works on hers. Is there something i can do or is my phone just faulty? this problem doesnt affect all songs just about few of the songs i have. thanks

I've loaded cd's onto the 4gig card I put in the phone with the Vcast Rapsody software and there is no album art displaying so when I flip through the albums on the phone, I don't see any pictures of what cd's I am flipping through. Anyone no how to get the album art to load?

Can someone give me some info about the calendar functions on this phone? Is it user friendly? Can you sync it to your computer like you can a Blackberry?

Hello all I am the owner the the Env Touch. When watched the video for the phone Eric Zeman was talking about the 2 hideous themes on the phone. And was saying more themes could be purchased from verizon. I was hoping that this is true. Does anybody know? If it is poss to purchase other themes for the phone what is the process? Thanks everyone for your help.

Do you think VZW or LG will release a better app store or more/better apps? GIN is terrible and apps are super expensive.

Twice in 2 days, someone has called my phone and it didn't ring. I had no idea anyone had called until I heard the voice mail tone. There is also no record of a missed call. My ringer is set on high and I can call my phone from another phone and it does ring.

Has anyone else experienced this intermittent problem?

This is the current Software, if you do not have it stop in to your Verizon tech and have them run the new software for you. If you do not you'll find that your going to have some issues. Your phone may start powering off and on. turn it off and go directly to Verizon. If you wait too long you may loose all your info on your phone. Like contacts and anything not saved to a memory card.

I've seen a couple of people on other forums ask what the "Vibrate Effect" found under (From the Internal Screen) - Settings & Tools: 6. Touch Settings: 4. Vibrate Effect - actually does, so I though I would post this here encase anyone else was wondering. The effect you gain from turning the "Vibrate Effect" setting 'on' will be seen when you scroll through a list on the external display. You will feel a single vibration for every option/item/contact/song that leaves/enters the view. So if you flick the list up of down you feel a fast vibration and if you move through the list slowly you will feel a slow vibration rhythm in accordance with the movement of the list.

My VX11000 is very hot during the charging, and when I play video or games it is still very hot, is that overheat? do you have the same situation?

The user manual states that this phone holds 690 text messages, yet i began to get 80% inbox full alerts at around 200 messages in my inbox.

Now when I delete a few old ones, the alert percentage does not go down at all. I now have less than 200 texts in the inbox yet somehow I am at 87% full.

Are these messages not really being deleted completely off the phone? I've tried turning it on and off and still nothing. Anyone else find a problem like this?
