I've been told...

Hi, Phonescoop.

I've been told over this past weekend that the Exilim will NOT be in stores as a demo, only offered through Verizonwireless.com. Just a heads up on this rumor. It's a sad thing; I need to see how the texting capabilities are and how the buttons feel.

Big disappointment

i checked out this phone and can't believe how cheap it feels..first the outside screen is a joke, but worse it feels like cheap plastic that could crack easy... This does not inspire confidence in its ability to last over time. the commie boring ui sucks as usual, and verizon phones just keep getting worse and worse. Ever since they're released the G'zOne Type-V all there MILL spec phones suck, i like my Boulder but had to wait over six months for software updates and a new front speaker. Get it together verizon! Thankfully the Tour will be here soon!

Rad phone by a rad company

I actually dig Casio as a digital phone company so this phone could be potientally really well done. Would have been a little neater if they had made it into a digital camera/watch phone.

Are they kidding about the price?

I mean really... in this day and age with $99 iPhones.... no one has ANY business charging more than $99 for a dumbphone. Nice camera or not.

Still the same lame VZW UI

Look like it still has the same VZW UI. When will they get rid of it and get something more modern? Look at Korean and Japanese "dumb" phone's UI's. Maybe VZW should learn from those guys?

It's a 5 Megapixel Waterproof Camera with a phone attached!

You can moan and groan about the price all you want, but the simple fact is, most phones have sucky cheap cameras! This is a real camera with a phone added on it, and waterproofed and stuff. OF COURSE it's going to be expensive!

Your $99 iPhones don't have 5.1 Megapixel Cameras with an optical Zoom, powerful Flash, and Water Resistance or even just plain ruggedness. Yes, their nice playthings, but I need something that isn't going to explode with screen glass and electronic parts if it slips out of my hand while I am using it.

$280??? Does military specs and a 5 megapixel warrant that price point???

This is an absolutely absurd price point. The $330 upfront cost is one of the most expensive out there among all carriers right now, and that's including the really high end smart phones. Don't get me wrong a 5 megapixel camera is great and the military specs could be useful for a lot of users but that's a steep price for a cell phone by Casio. Isn't this the first phone they've made? Not a very thought out price but the same could be said for a lot of phones

Didn't Samsung already do this...with the Flip Shot?

I mean, it is basically the same concept.

Plus, the 280.00 price on contract is a little steep.
