not 'technically" a smart phone

I just got the Tritan and I love it. The only thing that bothers me is I am paying the full date plan price for half what my hubby's Blackberry can do. I cannot figure out how to get to Facebook, even though there is an app on the main screen for it. Keeps telling me go online and review my account. I have tried sending facebook mobile txt msg to my phone and I can't figure it out. Also, I cannot click an any links or attachments in emails. Is this just becuase of the OS on this phone or what? Please help. I really want the touch screen, big fingers, and no good IPhone coverage in our area. Thanks.

Data Plan

Im sure this question has been asked a lot. But i have the basic easy edge plan for US Cellular for 9.99 a month, if i got this phone used from a friend, and tried to activate it, could i just use my existing easy edge plan? Or do i really HAVE to upgrade to 19.99 a month?

A CORRECTION

I just wanted to submit a correction of what I said in my "Response to I WISH"...

I was told I used the term "sync" to loosely and I may have. To clearify, the Tritan comes with a data cable which allows you to hook the phone directly to your PC...when you have a memory card in the phone. This allows the computer to read your card without the need of taking the card out of the phone. The computer reads it through the phone...allowing you to move your pictures, video's, and music to and from your phone.

The Tritan cannot however, "sync" with other programs like smart phones can, ie black berry or windows based phones. The Tritan cannot sync with your calender or contacts on your computer such as Outlook...only smart phones such as ...

Common Features?

Ok - I gave up my old old old blue motorola for an LG Banter. Seemed ok in the store but now that I realize it is missing some important features my moto had - I am looking at the LG Tritan. Unfortunately it looks like these features are missing from this phone too and, frankly, I am SHOCKED! These features seem like real no-brainers to me. Obvious things - but perhaps I am just an odd duck.

1. Vibrate THEN ring. Not ring and vibrate at the same time - that is nearly useless. I want my phone to vibrate for 4 or 5 rings, then automatically switch to the set ring tone. This is IMPORTANT! Because I am in meetings most of my day I HAVE to leave my phone on vibrate. It is very disrespectful to have a cell phone ring in any bus...
