MMS

Has anyone been able to send pictures using the recipients number on this phone?
When ever I take a picture and hit menu, send, two options pop up. SMS and send via E-mail. But it won't allow me to select SMS. And when I select E-mail it starts the process of setting up an account.
I thought Sprint had the whole MMS thing paned out with 'Picturemail'?

Old Sprint's Plan

I'm currently on Sprint's old power vision plan and had treo 650 for phone. I've being eligible since June of 2007, and I'd like to upgrade to treo 800w. Do I need to chnage my plan! 👀

Battery life???

1150mah? That's a tiny battery for a smartphone. Especially for a cdma winmo version. I wonder, how craptacular will the battery life be?

Sprint Navigation on the Treo 800w

I have the Treo 800w and Sprint Navigation. I was disappointed that I can not select an address from Contacts and navigate to the address without having to type it in. I am also a Verizon Customer and with TeleNav on my Blackberry I can simplyload my contact's address and then use GPS to get there.

Sprint's Navigation has a place to load contacts from the phone, but it only pulls name and phone number which is absolutely useless in Navigation.

Is this how the Treo 800w works with Sprint Navigation or is there some other option? I don't want to go to the web and enter each address as a favorite..waste of time. Thanks

HTML Email using Exchange - Update Soon?

I know the 800w at this point does not support HTML email when connecting to an exchange server though apparently it does support it with other email servers/services.

So, question is, does anyone have any idea when and if there might be an update for the 800w that will support HTML email on exchange?

Thanks!

Pathetic Garbage! Same-Old Treo! Minor Upgrades. More Bleeding Customers!!

After 5 years from between the release of the Treo 650 to this, the 800W is the best that Palm can do?! In the face of the iPhone! All Palm did was finally add the features they should have added all those years ago.

The insiders are saying Palm will be releasing the Treo 850 within the next several months. If this is true, Palm is going to spend another 5 years milking customers out of their money, claiming a new Treo as NEW, when in fact it is the same piece of junk they have been selling all along. I got coned into this before, but I no longer waste my money on anything made by Palm. But if Palm, after waiting 5 YEARS TO UPDATE THE TREO! Comes out with an updated Treo, then comes out with another so-called update using the x50 formula ...

Ok...It's been like 2 weeks since release - Where are the silicone skin sleeves please?

I'm dying here...where the heck are the accessoires for the 800w? Just looking for the silicone sleeve/case before this thing gets dinged up real bad.

Anyone know of any out there?

Thanks!

800p?

Anyone have any idea when an 800p may be realeased? I'm prefer the Palm operating system, and since this phone is designated 800w instead of just 800, I assume there will be an 800p?

FYI

Went in & traded the Instinct for the 800w. Heads up the guys at the store couldn't xfer my contacts and I had 'mobile sync' with the Instinct witch some how got lost when they transfered my number to the 800w. But the Treo uses 'Activesync'.

Voice Dialing

Sprint apparently does not offer a voice dialing service for the 800w. What service would you recommend for the voice dialing?

Will this phone have Stereo FM Radio?

Hello I was wondering if anybody know if this phone will have a FM radio tuner. Will it be able to play local radio stations? I tried the phone out in my local sprint store and it didn't seem to have this feature. If this feature is not yet available does anybody know if Palm will offer a software program to play local radio stations or possibly internet radio stations? Thanks

Will Opera Mini be available?

Hello I was wondering if anyone knows if the opera mini internet browser will work for this phone. I went into my local sprint store and downloaded the file on the floor model and it wouldn't install, even tried the generic version of opera mini and the older 3.1 version. The current internet explorer browser is nowhere near as good as the opera mini 4.1 browser so this is the main deciding factor for me in purchasing this phone. Thanks.

Internet Sharing Problems?

Has anyone else experienced issues with Sprint & Internet Sharing? I have not been able to connect my Win Vista or XP machines with either USB or Bluetooth PAN. The 800w attempts to connect to Power Vsion many times & I follow what I feel are pretty logical steps on the PC side but it always ends with 'The remote party has ended this connection.'

MMS & Predictive Text?

I'm not yet a Sprint customer but really am considering a switch. I looked at the Instinct and thought it to be a good phone. However, I'm a previous 700w owner and wouldn't mind turning in my VZW Pearl for the 800w.

The Phonescoop info page shows that the 800w doesn't have MMS or predictive text. Can someone who owns this phone can confirm or amend this info?
