questions....

so ya i purchased the chocolate 3 yesterday, and don't get me wrong i love it, but i have 3 questions:

1. is there no place for a charm to go? im thinking the 2 little rubber things on the back come off and there will be a place to put it, but its not looking promising....

2. are there any clear hard plastic clip on covers for it yet? or do you think that they will come out with them in the near future? =\ i had one on my 8600, and have grown to hate the leather cases, but i don't wanna fingerprint up my choc3 =\

3. any idea where i can find information on when verizon will have the software out to transfer contacts from the 8600 to the choc3? or do i just gotta call the store to find that out? =\

thanks in advance... 🙂

vibrate alarm

I recently picked up the choco 3 and I really like the phone.
I upgraded from a samsung a950 which was a tank and a good phone to use.
One of the gripes i have about the phone is the fact that they left out a vibrate option for the alarms. I could set alarms to vibrate on my a950 but was a little disappointed when I realized I couldn't do it.
Anyone think verizon will add it in a software update?
-ps. choco 3 is still a great phone :]

Bluetooth picture and music transfer?

Just wondering if you can transfer pictures and music via bluetooth? It would be nice if Verizon didn't disable it this time around.

MINOR complaint...but wondering if it's just me.

Not EVERY time I use the front navigation wheel...but about 25 to 30 percent of the time, it doesn't work. I took phone back and got a replacement and this one does it to.
Especially if I get two text messages close together.
That seems to set it off.
Must be a software issue...who would I report it to? The VZW guy seemed less than helpful.

Hands Free

This looks like a good phone... LG has
never let me done. Yet the way I read the
highlights of the phone There is no
jack for a hands free jack.
Did I read it wrong?

Quality Phone

I was the first person to purchase this phone at my local Verizon Wireless store on Sunday morning! Although I have not had ample time to truly "kick the tires" on all functionality (especially music), I am happy to report this is a quality phone.

Pros:
Excellent color displays inside and out
Terrific sound quality
Love the new user interface -- very intuitive
Micro USB adapter
ICE (in case of emergency) contact set up is an excellent addition

Cons:
Vibrate mode is a bit weak

This phone is recommended for anyone looking for the latest in flip phones!

FM transmitter

yay! Now I kinda want one.

I used to have the Fusic on Sprint, and absolutely loved that feature (just hated Sprint). Shame you can't unlock vzw phones to work on AT&T.

I LIKE!

My parents upgraded to the current slider chocolate about 2 months ago and I don't like it. I love the clamshell and the the light blue one is pretty.(saw the pics on engadgetmobile.com) I plan on porting my number to
VZW @ the end of the year and I was considering this phone but I really like the new EnV2.

No one uses a phone just for a phone anymore

So what is it with people now a days? Seriously? Phones are phones, yes I agree that some of the more "high tech" phones get better reception, but seriously, look at the first cell phone to come out, that thing was very ugly. And phones did not start out with all the equiptment & software they have today, phones never use to be able to take pictures, and play MP3's, and have GPS on them, and video cameras and everything else. Nowadays if a PHONE, which is exactly what it is a PHONE, doesn't have the best MP3 players, and Cameras, and Video Cameras, and everything else, people just aren't happy. 😢

Can you say crippled.......

Who cares how nice they look on the outside, the fact of the matter is verizon cripples their devices. They want a piece of whatever you're doing. I went through 18 defective LG's in 3 months. I wouldn't take another one if you paid me. Well I'd take it but I'd leave it at home or sell it. lol 🤣

HTML?

The major questions is will these new phones have HTML browsers in them? Verizon for years kept HTML out of normal phones and only allowed that type of access with PDA's. But the Voyager has changed that. But will this trend continue? It makes more sense for Verizon to allow HTML browsers in their phones, because that will drive data sales. Hopefully the Voyager isn't the first and last phone with HTML.

Decoy -- LOL!!!!

Built in bluetooth headset that charges while in the phone? ROFL! So bad battery life due to CDMA, bad battery life due to bluetooth, bad battery life due to charging the bluetooth.

The idea is neat, the reality is retardation. I guess we'll see the real life iteration of this phone, but I expect this to be captain of the SS Failboat.

What about the LG- VX9965 SE?

Anyone know when this phone is due out? I heard around July 4th. It's a flip made of carbon fiber and has a 5 MP Camera and touch sensitive screen for all menu functions. Also has built in flash and 10 GB onboard storage. Stereo speakers and bluetooth. SWEET, SWEET, SWEET.

You can't say we don't have cool phones

So we don't have the cool Nokias or the iPhone, but this certainly strengthens VZW's lineup of high-end cool phones. The Blackberry Thunder (VZW exclusive) can't come soon enough.
