Get this Curve or wait for bold or new curve?

I am really in need of a Blackberry and wonder if I should just get this one that is already available or wait for the new releases. This one is $99.99 which would be great because I would pay ZERO dollars since I am due for an upgrade, but I wonder if the newer curve or BOLD will be out within the next month . However, I do worry about what the pricing would be for those.

I also considered the STORM but so many have issues with those that I am worried about that one. Please let me know asap. I want to order this weekend UNLESS the newer versions are coming out REAL SOON!

Email Push Question

Looking at my first smartphone and the BB's are in the mix ... what I'm curious about is the whole email push thing. My work mail is not an exchange server. Also, if I want to check my email when I'm not at work I have to log in via a dedicated website, much like if you check your comcast or verizon personal email, you have to go to mail.whatever.com and log in w/your name and password .... can this type of email be "pushed" to the BB? Or, is it only if you have the whole exchange thing going on?

I'm pretty technical, but this completely outside of my realm of info since I don't use it, I work for a small company.

I was thinking that a BB might be a waste if the email push thing doesn't work w/o exchange? Thanks.

Ringtones?

Can I put any and all of my ringtones on the blackberry just like I do my regular cell phone? I use a memory card. I never use GET IT NOW but does Blackberry have something similar to it for this curve?

Putting Icon on Verizon curve

Hi, I just bought a new curve from Verizon today. While I was in the store their phone had a weather bug icon when you push the menu button. It was in with like the browser, media, message etc. Does anyone know how to get it there?? I would love to just click on that instead of going on the browser itself. Any help would be great! Thanks so much in advance ๐Ÿ˜

MMS finally here for Sprint

After downloading and installing operating system 4.5 MMS is finally here.

Pros:
MMS Finally!
Documents to Go
Clearer screen
Upgraded Music player-louder and has great EQ
Ability to hide pictures
Wireless software Update through Advanced Options although still prefer update through Desktop manager for back-up safety.

Cons:
No Default Preloaded pictures
No Blackberry Sample Video

This is a major operating system upgrade especially for Sprint users. Also, Blackberry Desktop manager version 4.7 is available for download.

Go for it!

Sprint Blackberry Data Plan Question

Hello,

I have been trying out a few Sprint phones and have been very disappointed so far. I was coming off a Blackberry and tried the Instinct (liked minus a few things), Palm 800 and Touch Pro (dislike both, especially freezing and battery issues).

So I find myself looking to go back to a Blackberry but am not to happy with what I am hearing about the data plans.

It seems I will have to upgrade my $15/mo data plan to a $30/mo Blackberry data plan and then add an additional $20/mo to get on my companies Blackberry Server. So, it looks like I am going to pay an additional $35/mo to get the same data I have been getting for $15/mo with the Treo and Touch.

Is there anyway around this? It seems a lot to pay. I guess I could go ba...

Sprint or Verizon?

Hi guys, I'm about to grab the 8330 but wondering if I should switch to Sprint from Verizon. I'm no longer under contract w/ Verizon but I loved how fast the 3G was on Sprints version of the phone. Should I make the switch?

Logging in to a web site

There are some web sites that I can access on my Curve, but I cannot seem to log in to the site, whereas I can with other web sites. I can get to the log in screen, but I cannot get my cursor to highlight the log in in order to do so. Is there a setting I have to change? Am I just out of luck on certain web sites?

4.5 os

Can someone tell me if the new 4.5 release is safe to download into your sprint curve. Also does the docs to go allow you to create a new document right off your phone? and Finally is there a way to sync offic documents from your phone to your computer and vice versa?

Thank you in advance.

Computer not detecting device

Hi, i have the 8330 for sprint and I am having trouble getting the computer to detect the curve. I am running windows vista 64 bit on my computer and everytime i connect the phone via USB the charging icon on the phone shows up for a few seconds and disapears. Blackberry desktop manager isn't recognizing any device when connected to the computer via USB.

I tried calling sprint tech support but she said it isn't compatible with 64 bit computers. I have a feeling she didnt know what she was talking about because it DID sync before on the same computer. That's how I got all my contacts, calendar events, tasks and notes in my phone.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
