Wireless Internet via Home Router?

Sorry to ask so many questions in a single day, but if I understand the features list correctly, I think it can connect to the internet via a wireless router (e.g. home router or coffee shop) without using a data plan. Is this correct? I just got this phone this week, and it's not obvious to me how to set that up.

Thanks ...

6650 Fold Camera Delay. What the...?

When I take a picture (flash or not) it shows that it has
grabbed the image, but in reality it's just starting to take
the picture.

There is a sizable delay between when the camera shows
you the supposedly captured image and when it's actually
taking the picture. I end up missing almost every shot
that I want to take.

Anyone else notice this? Is there a way to fix it?

Is there a way to save files directly to the memory card? I have bluetoothed several files over & they are sitting in my message inbox. How can I move them over to the memory card?

a few annoyances

I just got a 6650 a couple of weeks ago and am stumped on a couple of things:
1. My last Nokia (6102i) had a setting where if I connected a bluetooth headset, I could choose a profile to switch to automatically. I normally keep my phone on vibrate and if I connect a headset, I want it to switch to another profile so I hear it ring in the headset. Yes, I can manually change profiles, but if I forget, then either I don't hear it ring or it rings in the middle of a meeting. Is there a setting in the 6650 to do this?
2. The speaker independent voice dialing is terrible. You have to speak in that garbled computer voice to get it to understand you. Is there a way to override the built-in voice tags and record my own? With my old 6102i I never wo...

Outlook Sync

Can you sync this phone with Outlook if you buy a data cable? Either way, do you know of any current ATT phones that can do this but are not smartphones? Thanks

Use as Modem

The feature list says that this phone can be used as a modem for a laptop. Am I correct to assume that this means that it is using voice minutes while connected? In other words, if I used it as a modem in off-hours (after 9pm), then it would provide my laptop with free connectivity to the internet (using an ISP's or corporate dial-in access number) without need for the data plan?

Thanks!

Goggle Maps......

Has anyone tried to download Mobile Google Maps and use it with the 6650?

I'm just wondering if I can use the Mobile Google Maps with the GPS feature without being charged for using ATT Navigator.

Thanks.

6650 vs N75

Anybody else think that maybe, just maybe the N75 was better than this?? I really want to like this phone, but its difficult, especially when everybody is talking about how its replacing the N75. When I hear about a replacement for something, I think, okay, I'm going to see a better product than the last one.

So, what did we get here? We got the same AT&T junkware and usual crippling, and they made sure that you had to suffer with their hideous icon designs in all themes. There's a 2.2" display now as opposed to the N75's 2.4", and believe me, you can tell the difference. No more stereo speakers, no camera button (where it should be at least), and those terrible touch sensitive external keys (Nokia's fault). Oh, and AT&T made sure they r...

One cool thing i kinda know..

is that our regional told us this phone will support corporate e-mail, and you can still be on the 15 dollar media net package.
