How do we make a CSD call on SGH-i617 phone ?

The video mentioned something about the BJII not being able to read some of the cards. Does anyone have any experience with this? Which ones are working for you?

Would rather be safe than making 200 trips to the store to exchange. 😁

Ok...so at least we have an option to turn off the 3G here! It works WONDERS for your battery, and unless you watch the streaming video a lot, you don't need 3G anyway. The internet is not much slower, nor is the email. Here's what to do:

This will bring up the admin settings. From here, go to option 3 (Network & Call Settings), then option 5 (Network Mode). Select "GSM" instead of "AUTO" and this will put your phone in "EDGE - 2G only" mode. Use the left "ok" button to select, then click "cancel" afterwards. This will DRAMATICALLY improve battery life!

This is my first pda phone and I love it. Im just curious to know where and how can I put some cool software on the BJ2? Also, can i put a flash player on this thing.Windows doesnt seem to be enough, alot of videos I cant even watch.

I just got this phone 2 days ago, and i used to have Nokia N75. i'm trying to find out how can i make my own ringtones that i have on my memory card ? when i go to profiles to select the ringer all i see is the preloaded ones in there..Can someone help me please ? Thanks alot in advance 🙂

has anyone setup gmail to work with the email button on bj ii?

i can only get it to work if i download all messages at once... when i set it up to d/l "todays messages only" it comes up with nothing even after i send it a test message and see it on my pc... (but i keep it "unread"

Everytime I bring up the AT&T homepage, it will load partially then I'll receive an error that says:

"ERROR.

Your internet connection is not configured properly. Please verify your settings in Connections."

Here are my connection settings:

AT&T WAP
Connects From: WAP Network
Connects To: The Internet
Proxy: wireless.cingular.com:80
Type: HTTP
User name: (blank)
Password: (blank)

Any ideas on why I can't connect? I've tried switching the "From" and "To" setting to Internet and WAP Network with no avail. Just wondering if any other BJ2 owners have had the same problem.

It's been like this ever since I first tried to got my phone yesterday.

For some reason my blackjack 2 isn't recording sound when I record video.

I tend to keep alot of personal info saved on my phone seeing as I use it as my life line. There are personal pictures and emails and whatnot that if I ever lost the phone I wouldnt want others to be able to see, so I was wondering if there was a way to password protect certain files like on my laptop without having to lock the whole phone everytime......Any suggestions....or am I just SOL?

Can anyone recommend a really good bluetooth headset that will work well and not have any static. My previous one for my old phone has lots of static and doesnt sit confortably on my ear so I would like one that sits comfortably (possibly fits inside) and most most importantly is nice and clear.

I'm looking to purchase the Samsung BlackJack II.

Prior to purchasing, I wanted to know if it is required to have a data plan for the phone, or could you just simply use the phone for regular use?

If a data plan is not purchased, what data features would I miss out on?

I have the original Blackjack w/ Windows Mobile 6, and it seems to work just fine. What's so much better about the Blackjack II?

So how does the BJ2 compare to the first BJ? Has anybody had both? I have the first right now and the more I use it the less I like it. Is it a faster interface? Does it crash less?

Just bought the BJll yesterday for $50, seemed like a steal to me. But i need some help...

1. Is there anyway to make the ringer volume increase? Perhaps a hack of some sort?

2. Is there a way to save all my contacts onto the phone instead of doin it one by one?

Ok can someone give me a rundown on what actually will work with the Blackjack II. I have been on the phone with Reps and they say all they will offer is the PDA Data Plan and if my wife wants to text message, etc those will be additional charges.
That is stupid that an all in plan or something is not avaiable. I have a PDA phone and all I have is the Media net and it works just fine but they will not offer that to my wife for her phone.
Media net and 200 text a month is still $10 cheaper than the $30 month + for texting they are offering me

Does this phone work in Korea and Japan with WCDMA2100?

Does anyone try it with any success?

I got a BJ2 about 2 weeks ago. Love it for the most part. But people complained that sometimes my voice would be so muffled they couldn't understand me.

I switched units, same problem.

My razr got perfect signal. In fact, my BJ2 gets 4-5 bars throughout my house, including "trouble" areas. The only thing I can see is that it switches very frequently between edge and 3G, and wonder if the quality of voice goes down with the shift in data?

Anyone else have this issue? Or have any ideas on how to resolve it?

Rep suggested changing the sim card, but I don't see how that can fix it.. would it?
