What else can the phone do?

I have seen a ton of things that the iphone can do including being able to be used as remote control in home theater - controlling everything from the projector to the dvd player right on the phone. Additional software was added in order to do this obviously. So I was wondering besides the internet, vcast and mobileTV and navigation can our Voyagers do anything else like the iphone can do? I know we can play videos and movies via the microSD card too.

I am pretty happy with the phone so far. I do see what people mean when they say the ringer volume is low. I can barely hear it sometimes and I have it on max.

It can do whatever Verizon decides to allow it to do via get it now. The phone is locked down, so you can't just download apps.

You can't run apps not designed for the voyager, however the coverage is better. And why the hell would you want to control your tv with your phone? It's like people using gps on their phones what if you get a phone call while you're doing that? And how much is this app going to cost you? Also is this just an internet rumor? Because remotes require infrared or other transponder technology that is compatable with the specific tv.

I looked up what you're talking about. The 2.0 update controls Apple TV, not a television. The Apple TV device runs I believe at atleast 400 and up. Good luck there.

Trust me, I saw a Youtube video of this guy that was controlling everything in his house with his iPhone. Everything that would have been controlled via a remote control. I have heard of other phones that can do this too (Smartphones that is)

As for getting a call during navigation on your phone. It still works....happened to me the other day.

I saw a YouTube video on what the guy could do with his iPhone. The part about me taking a call during navigation, I did with my Voyager! What did you not understand?

I understood everything, including the part where you asked for confirmation about something you saw on youtube. That's not reliable. I told you to email him. What part of email do you not understand? Use your precious voyager.

YES, you CAN receive calls while you are using your VZ NAVIGATION..i've done it.. NO, THERE ARE NO EXTERNAL SPEAKERS! -_-..learn the word "EXTERNAL" PLLLLEASEEEE... PLEASE SOMEONE HACK THE PHONE TO ALLOW US TO USE SOME KINDA APP. TIRED OF THE SAME OLD THINGS!!!! hope next software upgrade allows us to set a "personal txt msg ringtone". YES, the volume on this phone sucks..i cant even hear the phone ring sometimes! i hope they add more bars to the volume level to increase the sound volume!
