LG Venus VX-8800

The VZW Bluetooth compatibility list show a "Y" in the file transfer column. Does this mean YEAS I can bluetooth pics/ringones/ etc to and FROM this phone??????? I have heard both yes and no from all over.... GEESH

When I first purchased the Venus my phone had the same prob many of yours had. The vibrate mode being so weak. But I recently went on vacation in a noisy place and could not have the ringer on due to not being able to hear it. So i placed it on vibrate and it worked smoothly. Did not miss any of my calls. So long story short either it was just luck or Verizon did fix this issue with the Venus. 😁

Does anyone knows how to relay ringtones to Venus? I used to have no problems relaying to the phone like 6 month ago. I guess verizon blocked it? please help me! and does anyone having problems with installing the program it came out with? I have Windows Vista and having some problems...

Two questions ,
Which way does the SD card go in the phone with the phone sitting on its back ?,,, Card label up or down ?

When the SD card is in the phone can you cover the card with the door ?

I got the card to go in the phone ( Label side down ) but the card sticks out enough that the door wont close over the card . Is this right ? And the phone won't recognize the memory. It says no card is inserted ... 😡

Anybody had a chance to compare these two new sliders yet? One reviewer commented on the lack of a ridge on the sliding portion, which makes the 8800 trickier to slide open.

What about display, reception and speakerphone comparisons? (IMO, my RIZR has as good as or better Verizon reception than my 8300, but the 8300 speakerphone was the best, period.) 8800 anyone?

Gotta say, I have been playing with this phone in my store. It works great with our bluetooth speakers and also our bluetooth stereo. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I check back in here quite a bit!!!

Just wondering if you can change the interface for the phone? Looks similar to Verizon's old interface except not red...

When the my phone is in silent (vibrate) mode, the vibration is very weak. I barely feel it in my pocket or holster. Is anyone else having this problem or is it how it is? I had an LG 8100 before and it had a crazy strong vibrate function.

I have always used a flip phone. I like the Venus, features, et al., but I'm not sure I will like the slider. Has anyone made this switch and found it to be comfortable?

I just got the new Venus last week and I think I might have blown out the speaker from adding my own ring-tones too loud(stupid I know). Can I just take the phone in and get a replacement or do I need to have a certain problem for them to do it? What can I tell them to get them to give me a new one for free? Thanks.

Skatter Tech just unboxed the brand new LG Venus which will be available later this month! It's looking pretty hot so far!
