no walkman, no problem (right?)

The k850 is listed as having a "media player" but not the walkman player. Im just curious as to how they differ. Ive never used a non-walkman SE phone. Possible deal-killer for me... Anybody?

Help me find the phone.

Aloha, I would like to tap into all of the knowledge that is in these forums, and hopefully someone can help me. I currently have a Sony W810i(which I bought unlocked), and a Dell Axim x51. I want a phone that can be used like a smartphone, camera, and Mp3 player all in one. I am really excited about the k850 (also considering the Nokia N95) But I am unsure if this will work like a smartphone (one of the things I really want in my new phone)
Here are the other things I would like:
3 mega pixel or higher camera with flash and video
Music player which is A2DP compatible
Unlocked or Cingular phone (that would work in Hawaii)
Able to sync with Groupwise email (for my work)
An operating system like Symbian?(I don't know too much about this ...

Dear SE, Please give us a 3G phone with Symbian (UIQ)

Is it REALLY that hard? I don't understand why Nokia or SE will give the US market a phone with a good OS such as Symbian (think of all the software that is out there) on a 3G device. I know that the US market always lags, but I have had my damn 2.5G device with symbian for 2 years and am not giving it up. Technology should move forward. I am not giving up the ability to run any program I want (like TOMTOM, opera, Gameboy emulaters, etc) just for a 3G connection.

Wake up people!

Symbian OS?

I'm not familiar with Sony phones.
Does anyone know if this is likely to be Symbian OS

Also is there menu layout as intuitive as Nokia's?

BlackBerry 8300 8800 Series Defects

I can't believe that with the release of the 8300 and 8830 that they've still not fixed their display defect.

Every model of new trackball-based BlackBerry that isn't an 8100 Pearl that I have seen has pits all over the display lens. The AT&T models seem to be the worst of the bunch, but still, it is very annoying to be looking at your screen and seeing these little specs of iridescent refraction that look like burnt out or stuck on pixels, or grime on the display, just to find out it's a manufacturer's flaw.

For the price these devices cost, they shouldn't be so poorly manufactured.

RIM of course sent back a form letter denying the existence of this, of course.

RIM: Nothing new?

All that was there was the Curve which is already out?

I guess Verizon isn't getting the Pearl.

K850 5 megapixels

Does the fact it is a five megapixel camera phone not seem to be something worth mentioning in the article. I know it was mentioned, but is that not a big deal in terms of cell phone cameras?
