Motorola RAZR2 V9m

I have been reading how people are sending ringtones from email and text. How are you getting them to use as ringtones? The only option I have is to save as sound. I have the v9m and I also refuse to pay for Verizons Get It Now. More like Give (us your money) Now.
I know it has only been out for a few days. I have had the same ringtone now for about 4 years. It has followed me thur 4 phones. I even got the data cable in hopes I could find a hack somewhere. Can anyone help?

Does anyone notice a slight crackle in the earpiece when the volume is at the highest earpiece setting, especially when the phone you're dialing is ringing?

How do I go about putting mp3's on this to listen to?

It appears the picture size of my picture ID is rather small - only a fraction of the screen size for both the outer and main screen. Is there a setting that I'm missing or is this common for everyone else?

I thought I saw a posting here from someone waiting for the LG VX 10000 to come out. I can't find any information on it anywhere. Does anyone know about it? Thanks.

i went to the verizon store to take a look at the phone and the first thing i noticed was how big it is!

i was surprised because i don't think anyone else has really pointed this out. am i the only one to notice this?

In less than a week's time, the US Cellular firmware has been leaked. Note that the US Cellular firmware is the most desired firmware as it is the pure generic Moto UI AFAIK, no junk programs like Celltop, no third party crap. Just pure, fully unlocked Moto.

I left VZW because of this phone.

I left verizon because of the 1 size fits all Operating system of this phone.

I left 6 YEARS of service because it all came down to a $0.50 operating system on a $475 phone.

I hope motorola notices a sales decline because of the verizon OS. Maybe then something will be done.

If VZW would just leave the high-end phones alone, I would be happy... but no...

I got an Iphone and AT&T, and as a phone it's mediocre, everything works as promised.

I used my V9M for 2 full weeks before it pissed me off to this point. I love VZW CDMA network... maybe one day if they remove the 'red bars OS' I hope to come back!

I'm trying to decide which phone to get. Just to let you know before hand, I don't have Verizon Wireless or any other provider that usually carries the razr maxx. Right now, I have Tmobile and I'm planning on either getting an unlocked razr maxx or just waiting to get the razr v8 from tmobile.

I know that verizon carries both these phones right now, so I just wanted to know from personal experience which phone is the better choice.

This is wierd...has anyone noticed that when the phone is lying on a flat surface and you try to press the vibrating buttons on the front that the buttons don't respond to your finger press as they do when the phone is in your hand?

It seems like there is a split second lag on this phone from when u push the button, to when the phone actually reacts. Im guessing there is nothing you can do about it, but i figured it wouldnt hurt to ask. I used to have the 8300, and loved how it immediatly reacted. Thanks

This phone looks awesome, EXCEPT...

it seems to be downgraded.
compared to the V9, the processor speed has been cut in HALF, the LCD is only 65K colors, not 256K.
The crystal talk feature has been disabled (at least on the verizon version). Bluetooth is v1.2, not 2.0, and certain profiles have been removed.

The battery is only 730mAH, compared to 920mAH.

Support for audio formats is very low on v9m.

And the price difference between the two versions is only $50 dollars.

For such lack of features, isnt it only fair that they sell the phone for under $200.

And I wonder why it is like that? The v9m is supposed to be the CDMA alternative to the V9. Or atleast, thats what I thought.

Wondering if I pricing on the v9m will go down or not when the new phones come out. The maxx pricing still has not gone down so I'm wondering if it's even worth waiting for the price to drop on the V9M?

i have hears that the key pad is kinda loose and there is play in the hinges of this phone....any truth to that?

I was successful in tranferring video and music files from my Razr2 to my laptop via Bluetooth but can you transfer music files to the phone from a laptop via Bluetooth. I was not successful in that.

How do u email a ringtone to yourself?

Can u really not get texts on the front of this huge screen for VZW?

Can u get pics from a mem card to be displayed as ur wallpaper? when i go to wallpaper, they dont show up
