Synch calendar?

Does the M520 support USB cable synch w/calendar &/or contacts programs on a PC or Mac? Phone Scoop's feature page indicates that it does. But, I've not seen specifics. Can anyone offer specifics?

Need Help please...

I recently got my M520 wet, it was definitely my fault. At first the phone didnt even turn on and it started to improve and now it is fully functioning except that i cant make a call or send a message. When i try to make a call, after it goes through some time of trying to connect, it says "Svc unavailable". When i try sending a message, after it does its best to try and send it, a message pops up that says "Network not responding...". Is there anything I can do to fix this, or is my phone trashed? I thought that it might have just been deactivated because it broke, but i am not sure, is that a possibility too?

missed call list

When I miss multiple calls from the same phone number, the missed call list will show each call separetly rather than showing how many calls from the same phone number. Is there a way to set this up to only list the number once with how many times this number called.

Phone Battery & Screen Issues

Of the people who have quoted this as having a bad battery life, could someone tell me what that means, several hours, 1 day, 2 days etc. I am looking to buy a new phone and was considering this one.

The only 2 things I have really seen negative are
1. Battery Life
2. Easily Cracked Screen

If anyone has opinions on this I would appreciate it. Sprint rep recommended to me any Sanyo phone but the only one I might consider is the Katana LX and Im not sure if i want it or not.

(wired) Headset question!

Will a standard earbud work for making phone calls, or do I have to have a stereo headset regardless of if I'm going to listen to music?

Thanks!

Camera malfunction :(

I bought this phone over the weekend. Several times, it's failed to save a photo I'd taken of my 7yo. Once I was able to retake the photo, but the other two times my opportunity was lost. Has anyone else had this problem? This might be the deal-breaker for me...I have a really cute little boy and use my camera A LOT.

We don't have a Sprint store here in town, although we do have a couple authorized retailers. I had to go out of town to buy the phone...I'm hoping I don't have to go back to exchange it. 👀

samsung m520 tethering

just wondering if it's possible to tether this phone as a modem and hack it so you don't have to pay for the plan 59.99/mo, instead just use your vision data plan just like i can on the samsung a900. thanks.

Music store problem

I had the Musiq before this phone and downloaded music from the sprint music store just fine. I switched my memory card into this phone and it keeps giving me an M501 error message saying it cannot connect to music store. It says i can only listen to the songs ive already downloaded but when i go to do that the same error comes up and i cant even listen to the music ive already downloaded. Help anyone?

NOT Coming

We just got word today that the M520 will not be released for Sprint. Instead Samsung is focusing on creating Wi-Max and Rev. A EVDO handsets to be launched next year. 😢

does anyone know (2)?

What turbo mode is? I had a customer on the phone today asking me what it was and I had no idea. The users guide says nothing about it except that is has it. It has something to do with the ringer im guessing because it was on the same profile screen. Samsung.com says nothing about it that I could find either...

Best non PDA phone so far...

With all the fetures this phone has, the fact that it's powervision, MP3 Player, being able to check your minutes without calling and not to mention the price on it is awesome! ($49.99 after MIR) Probably the best non PDA phone that Sprint has out right now.

ps Still not comparable the Samsung 610 though, too bad they discontinued it... =(

over in the "Video Review: Samsung M520" discussion:

520

We just got a shipment in of the 520's and from what i can tell it is a good phone for the price. MP3 player with gps email and TV capabilities for only $50 isn't a bad deal for customers. The only thing i dont like is its plastice feel. I can imagine people dropping it and having problems in the near future. But for the few of us who are smart enough to buy insurance or cases it should be a good phone.
