Treo 755p vs Moto Q vs Mogul

I recently had the unpleasant experience of trying all of these phones out and needed to spread the word. Before I go on a long winded description.. the Mogul won.. without any competition!!!

Let's start with the Moto Q:

Slim, light and fits easily in the pocket.. that is where all of the pleasures stop! If you actually USE the phone, not just carry it around, the battery is horrible. I was charging mine 3 times a day. Not because it was getting low, but because it was totally shut down and dead.
The odd non slip paint on the cover is neat at first, but if you put your phone in your pocket (like I do) then good luck getting it out! I refuse to be one of "those guys" with an almost fanny pack around my waist with all of my gadge...

MMS program for the Mogul

I just installed a program on my 6800 and it installed fine. I sent an MMS to a friend but I'm waiting to see if he got it. I sent a video to myself and it came thru and a new Sprint video message. This is the link from ppcgeeks:

Yet another brick for Sprint

Tired of waiting for another clamshell PDA. Sprint made Samsung ditch the i500 generation (the i550 would have been great) and even Treo can't seem to get their brains about a thin, lightweight phone. Naturally, Sprint doesn't get the Pearl because that would make too much sense and/or other providers are too busy commanding exclusivity, which IMHO should be outlawed by the FCC (who seems to put their hands on everything else).

Can't understand why people are excited about another big, clunky phone.

Personally, after years :-( I finally broke down and bought a Razr just because at least I can fully sync my address book with Outlook.

Somebody please bring a slim PDA phone that isn't for Cingular or Verizon!!

How is Mogul as a phone?

Can anyone tell me how the rates as a phone. I've heard the Treo's have terrible reception and call quality. Should I wait for something better or is the Mogul worth buying?

IPhony can kiss my Moguls' grits.....

the IPhony is gonna be a BIG flop.... it's cool and all but having a phone that "CAN NOT" be unlocked... has no rebate on either model, can not be insured, requires a two year commitment *EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE BUYING IT AT FULL RETAIL PRICE*, all warranty/exchange having to go through apple and NOT AT&T Wireless, only being able to use the APPLE accessories and STILL getting screwed if you MANAGE to buy this thing on ebay or somewhere else and then "TRYING" to activate on your acct and STILL needing to extend your contract... yeah, I will keep my mogul......

over in the "Preview: HTC Mogul" discussion:

Mogul vs 8525

Personally, I think the 8525 looks a little more refined. Also, the 8525 has PTT, support for Cellular Video, XM Radio Mobile and MobiTV. The only clear advantage I see here, is that the Mogul already has Windows Mobile 6. But the 8525 will have an update available for 6 in mid-late July.

Sprint Marketing Sucks

Why is it that when Sprint finally gets an exclusive(even if just temporary)on a smart phone they don't advertise it? AT&Tular is advertising the iphone like crazy and it's not even out, Verizon is advertising the 8830 quite a lot too. Sprint has the first CDMA WM6 phone (at least I couldn't find a Verizon one) and also the first Rev a capable phone on the market and the only people that know about them are the die hard sprint customers or people who are ready to throw their 6700 against a brick wall.
ok I'm done. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Phone Quality

Can anyone tell me how the Mogul stands up as a phone. I'm a road warrior that needs all the computer stuff, but I also need a great phone with clarity on both talking and receiving.

Any comments?

6800 like 6700 in that it does not require PDANET to tether to computer?

I was wondering if the 6800 like the 6700 still allows for tethering to a laptop to use it as a modem without paying an extra service fee. If not, can you use PDANET?

Thanks
