NO 30 day return! on iphone

Apple branded equipment is covered by a 14-day return policy and must be returned to the original point of purchase. If the Apple branded equipment is returned unopened and in the original shrink wrapping, it will be refunded back to the original payment method. Opened Apple branded equipment that is returned within 14 days will be subject to a 10% open box restocking fee. All products must be packed in their original, unmarked packaging including any accessories and manuals that shipped with the product.
In other words if you take it for a test drive and return it you will get charged 54 dollars, unless you didnt open it and just had it there un opened and decided to return it. πŸ˜‰

Buying the iphone online?

Here's an interesting question...
If one wants to buy the iphone online, and lives in say, Wyoming (MST), can that person buy the iphone at 6pm EST, or must they wait until 6pm MST, or even 6pm PST?

Even the news said not to buy this phone!!!!

A report cam on the local news talking about the hype and controversy surrounding this phone. The reporter goes on to say don't buy this phone wait for the next model so it won't have as many bugs. 🀣 Nothing but laughter here.

Forums don"t lie

The simple fact that any article with the words "iPhone" in it spawns this many forums speaks a lot of the devices imminent success. Lets face it, when has ANY other device launch created these enormous threads?
If you like AT&T you brag about the iPhone, if you don't you bash the iPhone simply because you can't use it with your carrier.
Ultimately, the consumer will decide if the iPhone will be a success or not, and judging by apples stock I would say its already headed in the right direction.
At least it has opened the eyes of all other phone manufacturers, and I'm sure everyone can agree on that!

AT&T's 30-Day Return Policy (try the iphone for 30 days)

So if I was to buy a iPhone from a Apple store or apple.com and activated it would I have to return it to AT&T if I cancel withing the 30 days? That wouldnt make any sense if I did because the phone wouldnt of been purchased from AT&T directly. What do you think?

AT&T's 30-Day Return Policy:

It's hard to decide if you like something until you try it out. AT&T gives you 30 days after you buy your wireless phone to take it for a test drive.*

Try out its features. Use its services. See how it fits into your lifestyle. And your pocket!

Decide you want a different model? No worries. Bring it back, no questions asked. It's all about finding the AT&T phone that's right for you.

*No early termination fee if service is cancelled and ...

haha

so i first heard about the iphone when i started working for sprint about 3 months ago. and i've heard so much about it drives me nuts but it's like a train wreck, you don't want to watch but you can't look away.

so i'm reading the local newspaper online and a few things popped up that i found amusing.

”’Jon Podhoretz of the New York Post warns "gadgetheads" not to pay $500 for the privilege of being beta testers for the iPhone. His headline writers are more blunt, calling first-day buyers "iPhone iFools".

world phone?

Hoping someone has an answer...

We know iPhone is a quad band (world) phone. Yet, it is locked with AT&T. On top of that, it has a SIM tray.

To me, these are mixed signals. I travel between Canada and US alot. I don't mind using 2 SIM cards (one for each country), but they must work on 1 iPhone. Will I be able to do this?

Can anybody shed any light on this confusion?

USB drive

Why can't apple (or any other company) just incorporate a USB drive for expandable memory? It seems like a good idea, i dont understand why no company has jumped on it yet.

HI-FI?

Here's a new one. Will Iphone work with HI-FI ? Iphone is about the same size as an Ipod. Has the same 30 pin connector as a Ipod.
Will it charge my Iphone while playing audio?
What happens when I receive a phone call?
Will it allow the call?
Will it even recognize a call is coming in?
Will it act like a speaker phone?
I wounder.

Im going to re-post this...

... just incase it was missed... 😈

I work for VZW, and I want the iPhone - LOL. We just recieved an email about "how to handle customer inquries about the iPhone." So sad...

In a summerized version:

Customer: The Chocolate seems like a good deal, but I am really interested in the new iPhone and I wanted to get a new iPod anyway.

Rep: What is it about the iPhone that interests you?

Customer: I am looking for an all in one device, and the iPhone does just that.

Rep: Well, I understand your point. We are offering the LG chocolate for 99.99 and with a 4gb music kit, the total would still be less than that of the iPhone ($249.99). Does that meet your needs?

/rediculous VZW corp email koolaid

Now, if I was asked t...

Holy Mother of God, STFU!

I am *relatively* indifferent towards the iPhone (especially relative to a lot of the crazies posting on this site).

Many people knock it saying, "the XXX 3000 can blow the iPhone out of the water because it has a 20Mp camera, GPS, a garlic pickler, and converts into a society friendly SUV."
-->No one ever said this is the best phone ever created. In fact, Steve Jobs and his goons called it the "Best iPod Ever." For one, he is clearly comparing it against his own company's (biggest) offering. With the lack of HSPDA (or any 3G for that matter), GPS, and a better camera, it is a far cry from the best phone ever, I think the n95 and TyYN blow it out of the water.
-------
Bottom line: It's not the best phone ever created, just the most ...
