MMS Picture message too SMALL....???

When I receive a picture message it is very small, about 1/4 of the screen. I can save it to documents and open it and it takes up the full screen.

Any suggestions on how to set it so when I receive a pic is is full size?

Locks up after making video

IHas anyone else had a problem after making a video with the i760 that it locks up? I found this to happen after making a video and then pressing the power button while the camera is on. Unless I end all tasks first, it will lock up. The only way I can resolve the lockup is to remove the battery.

I was told Samsung has issues

I went to Verizion and the salesman was showing me some phones but, I told him I wanted one with WiFi and he told me that WiFi is a bad idea because you can corupt the software from virus'. I was looking at the 760 and he suggested I don't get the i760 because Samsung has had problems with their phones. I like the look and feel of this phone and for me it's going to be a toss up between this one and the XV6800. I've been waiting for the XV6800 but, it seems that phone is never coming out. I was just wondering if anyone has heard of Samsung having problems with their phone lineup.

Samsung SCH - i760 or LG VX Voyager 10000

I currently have the Samsung i730, which I've had for several years now, and I have my eyes on two phones... the i760 and the Voyager 10000. I'm trying to decide which one to get. The Voyager is said to be the iPhone killer; but is it a PDA Smartphone? Can you all help a brother decide? 🤨

Recording sounds as ringtones

It seems like a simple thing to do... I can't find any sound recorder except inside of Notes. I think I should be able to record a sound clip and turn it into a ringtone. Does this require a piece of software not included with WM6 Pro on the Samsung SCH-i760?

.exe files and the SCH-i760

This is my first time with a PocketPC phone...but I can't seem to figure out how to execute .exe files. I figured that since it was a windows mobile device, they would be compatible. However, every time I attempt to click on it, I get a msg saying that those files are not compatible. Is this normal or is it just my phone? The reason I ask is that my friend's HTC Mogul has WM6 and works. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I760, What email program should I download? A few questions...

Played with the I760 for about 30 minutes. It was decent however the keyboard keys to press to correspond to the command s on the bottom right/left of screen are of course in a strange location. But it will take some getting used to.

CUSTOMIZATION?: Can one change the home page to display perhaps just the apps or shortcuts they use? I would probably only use IE, want to get to contacts and dial phone numbers??

VOICE DIAL?: Is there a way to dial via voice?

EMAIL?: And the important question for the subject, is email. I have a paid Yahoo Plus account but using Yahoo email via any cell phone is terrible. I think there is a go version of the Yahoo email app. I downloaded it and installed it, powered phone down/back up-app had a violati...

Is anyone using multiple bluetooth handsfree (headsets/car) on this phone?

I love the Windows Mobile 6 on this phone, and the external keypad, but there are some VERY frustrating issues with this phone.

SEND and END keys are in the *WRONG* place altogether by being on the front SIDES of the phone rather than the face. This makes it perfect to inadvertently send calls to voice mail instead of answering them, or to disconnect people while holding the phone and talking. BAD, BAD, BAD.

Another issue I've just discovered is that the Bluetooth doesn't automatically switch between handsfree devices. With my XV-6700 and my T-Mobile XV-6800 (wing) I can talk on my bluetooth headset at the office, then take my phone to my car (BMW 550 w/built-in bluetooth) and it would automatically switch connect to handsfree in my c...

Saying goodbye...

I've decided that the i760 is too much phone for me. I'm going to miss the fast processor, wifi, picsel browser, full html... ☹️ I'm sure she'll find a good home on ebay though. I'm going to have to use my back-up lg vx7000 for at least a week. I think I'll use the money to buy a voyager. BTW I'm selling it on ebay with the desktop charger and a pack of stylus'.

Favorite Browser?

Anyone have preferences on this? I have tried IE, Opera and of course that Picsel browser. None of them seem to have the complete package. I can't make IE zoom in and out or pan with touch... Opera doesn't have java or anything else built in, and Picsel is practically worthless. Suggestions?

Billable data -- WiFi, EVDO, data plans - CONFUSED??

Just got my 1st PDA Phone (i760) and I am CONFUSED regarding what is "billable" data usage. At this time I do NOT want to use "text msg", VCast or other "billable" data services. I have not signed up for text messaging or any other data services.

As suggested in another post re "Disabling Data for Internet", I changed the Data Ntwk # from #777 to "garbage #". Is this EVDO?

Another post implies that using WiFi is NOT billable. Is that correct?

Sooo, with #777 access disabled and if I don't use Text Msgs is there any other way that I could accidentally find billable data on my Vzw invoice? I assume the cell carriers make a bundle when unsuspecting new users "accidentally" run up huge charges.

Poor Internet performance

I have had my i760 for about three weeks. I am in Orange County, CA, where my old E815 almost never showed 1X vs. EVDO, and my EVDO laptop card almost always connected to the BroadbandAccess network rather than 1X network.

My i760 shows EV all day long, UNLESS I open IE and go on line. It almost always falls back to 1X after a minute or two of being on line. IT did the same thing today while in San Diego 90 miles from here. Bummer!

I tried to access Yahoo mail to send one message, and after eight minutes of working through the pages, I gave up.

For this reason and general slowness, alarm not working if phone is off (my E815 could be off and would turn on for the alarm), the goofy button to start calls opening the slider, and some ot...

I730, XV6800 or SMT5800

I have been using a Motorola Q for over a year and am looking to upgrade to either this phone, the XV6800 or the SMT 5800 (if the HTCs ever come out). I use Activesync through a hosted exchange server with 1and1.com to synchronize my email, contacts and calendar. I use PDANet to tether my laptop and have QCaps to make the keyboard more blackberry friendly (as I used to have a blackberry). I like Windows Mobile and have been very happy with my Q with the OTA synchronization. I am looking for some honest opinions from someone that is using a similar setup as to how they like this phone. I saw this phone today at the Verizon store and it looked nice although some of the buttons appear to be in some weird places and the reviews seem to be very m...

Third Party Software

I noticed that the calendar only gives you options to schedule on the half hour i.e. 7:00, 7:30, 8:00 and sometimes I want to schedule school conferences and other things that are NOT on the half hour.

Does anyone know of any good software I can add to to the phone to allow custom time increments?

Also does anyone know of a good password program for this phone?

Thanks!
