IrDa?

I'm unsure of something, maybe I can get some answers? I wanted to get an accessory that is used for pocket pc's and pda's but I'm not sure if its compatible with this phone. The device requires an IR port, does this phone have an IR or an IrDA port? If so, are IR and IrDA the same or compatible? If it helps answer my question, here is the item I was thinking of:

I take a lot of notes, and would like to organize them on my computer, its a bit time consuming when having to input and have papers everywhere.

Bluetooth Pairing

My Sony Ericsson bluetooth headset doesn't always link up like it did with the 730. It is an old headset, but it just doesn't link up that well.
My problem is that if I turn on the phone's BT, then the headset, the phone doesn't recognize it sometimes. And even after it is linked (like I just made a call), the next incoming call doesn't register thru the headset and it has to pair up again.
Would this be because there are certain (newer) headsets that will pair up better? I can't figure it out. It is just anoying. Does anyone know what the best headsets are for the 760?
Thanks in advance.

Samsung i760: How to get rid of "cannot recognize recipient" warning!

Hi, Every time I send a text message, I get a warning that says: "Cannot recognize one or more recipients or the address is not valid. Would you like to send the message anyway?"

How can I stop this message from popping up every single time a txt message and e-mail is sent? The person that I am sending the message to is in my address book by the way. Thank you. S

Want to ditch Treo 700w... is i760 right phone?

I'm currently a Treo 700w user, and with the phone being my first foray into WM (Palm and Blackberry previously), it has left a bad taste in my mouth.

I've got the following issues with my current Treo 700w and I wanted to know if these issues are present in the i760 (WM6):

- Phone goes into sleep mode and can not be woken without reset (remove battery/insert battery). The green light blinks to show the phone online, however the screen will not come back to life.
- Phone is slow to respond at times, resulting in an inability to answer calls, as phone will not be responsive enough to allow screen lock removal and call answer.
- Phone battery will drain quickly. This appears to happen in low-signal areas, especially when EVDO is enab...

leather magnetic case

Has anyone noticed that your/my leather case with a magnetic leather flap causes the SCHi760 to turn on while in the case? Just by chance I noticed that after turning my pda off,. and then placing the phone in the leather case and when I fold the magnetic leather flap over the pda lights up.

contacts

i switched from a phone where i had backup assistant through get it now. it uploaded all you contacts and when you get a new phone you download the app again through get it now and it reloads all your contacts. but the i760 dosent have get it now. but you can access your contacts list online, so i was wondering if you copy and pasted your contacts from the backupassist site into outlook, and then synced your phone w/ your comp, would all your contacts go to your phone? thanks!

Battery Life Question

Quick question on battery life...

I text pretty frequently, probably around 30ish a day and I'm on the phone with calls maybe an hour or two a day (a few short ones and a long 20-30 minute here and there)...is the battery life going to be ok for this or should i carry a charger around in my back pocket?

Ready to upgrade from I730 to I760 just need some answers

OK, I'm currently using the I730 and am looking to upgrade to either the I760 or Blackberry 8130. My biggest question with the 760 is "Is it a real upgrade from the 730?" and I know it has all the stuff like #keys on the front and camera (all of which I love) but what about all the stuff I hate. i.e.: (1)ever since I upgraded the 730 to WM5 the phone needs to be reset like 2-5times a day. (2) battery life. I have to charge my phone everyday on the standard battery is that still the case with the 760? (3) the screen backlight will always turn off and it wont come back on (tap screen or press button) unless I do a soft reset. (4)speed at which the device runs, by this i mean most of the time this thing is just chugging along, takes forever ...

Button Remapping - lack of choices in i760 - suggestions?

Hi, all.

Did a few searches, but didn't find anything to address this particular concern.

Anyone notice that button remapping is woefully lacking with the i760? That is, in SETTINGS / BUTTONS there are only 4 choices for 3 buttons:

- Button 1 (start menu) found on right side top of unit.
- Button 1 Long Press (voice command)
- Button 2 Long Press (camera) found on lower right side of unit.
- Button 3 (messaging) found on keypad on upper left.

Windows Mobile as we all know doesn't close programs by pressing the OK button, it only minimizes them. Therefore, you have to use a 3rd party utility such as Pocket Plus or iLauncher to provide that functionality. With those utilities, you can actually click the close button to close the...

Has anyone found a good case for this phone yet?

I was using body guardz for a while, but it's a pain in the @ss getting it on the phone with no bubbles! I'm not trying to go for the utility belt look or anything like that. Just a simple skin or something like that. Thanks!

WARNING! - Stay away from the plastic holster for the i760 !!

I bought the plastic belt holster for the i760 this past Saturday. At first I was impressed witht eh fit of the phone into the clip and how nicely it snapped right in and how easy it was to snap right out when wanted (secure enough not to snap out unexpectantly).

However, my first disappointment came as I noticed the swivel part is at teh bottom of the phone so the phone then sticks up from my belt like an erect d%#k. I didnt like that, so I tried to swivel it down. It only swivels 45 degrees each way though. So I ended up keeping it pointing backwards, which I also though was akward cause it looked funny being horizontal and off center.

Then the final straw came. After 7 hours of owning the holster, I sat down in my car seat (I am ...
