24 hours later...

Well here it is. I wouldn't call myself um... tech savy, so pics are out(at least for now). First off, this would be my 2nd pda/smartphone since 1999. I recently returned the Q9m, it just wasn't for me. Aside from the color nothing special. Let's get to it. The size of the phone didn't deter me from this, I've had the V & enV previously. The sliding mechanism works flawlessly. The screen is ok. I honestly couldn't tell the color/resolution from one screen to the next so... I'd give it 8 out of 10. I'd have to say that the web browsing is by far the best I've used... EVER!!! I've compared it to my friends Mogul and my brothers Q, wipes the floor with both of them. The stylus is located in the side of the phone, horizontally, strange but cleve...

This Phone is OBSOLETE!

I am not going to be as brutal as "the Verizon Sucks" guys but this phone should have been released six months ago. The biggest features to the phone is WM6 and the fact that it has numbers on the front. The camera on my old e815 phone is better, low memory, the knocked the processor speed down to 400Mhz...I guess for battery life, and I have some other issues but my point is its old technology. @ this point they should have dropped it like it seems they might be doing to the 6800. The Tilt or whatever it's called demolishes this phone from looks to functionality.

I think Verizon is a great carrier w/ really good customer service. AT&T is good also. However, HSDPA is not faster than EVDO. I bought my girlfriend a 8525 and wasn't fast...

news from the inside

I talked to a rep yesterday and she told me that this phone has not even passed all of the testing, and it will not be out until November. I really dont know, how this was figured if you were able to order the phone through customer service over the phone. So i dont know? Does anybody have any insight into this?

I wonder about the iPhone...

Everyone is talking so much about the iPhone but how comfortable would typing actually be on this phone?? I see Jobs and the Apple CEO doing everything else except for typing a text message. makes me wonder.........

What's the point of live video sharing?

Why would you only want to see what the other person is seeing, but not the other person? You can easily have a true video conferencing phone, yet you don't want manufacturers to have a lens on the inside or at least one that rotates to face the user? And if you turn the phone around so the other person can see you, then you can't see them.. catch 22. Answer me this Cingular.

Where is 3G???

How could Apple not make this 3G compatable? Unbelievable!

Cingular does not offer a wireless Air Card for Macs. If this phone was 3G it would be a great option for thethering to use as a modem for a laptop.

Even so - if the phone is so interet capable, why make it for the very slow Edge network?

I am not a buyer until it is 3G capable.

It is probably best to wait until Apple works the bugs out anyway. The first iPods had quality issues.

Is there a better phone?

Maybe I am living in the dark ages here but I happen to think the iPhone is the coolest device I've ever seen. All these complaints have me confused. Is there a better phone out there, either here or in Europe or Asia? If so, please do tell and why. I am ever so curious to know what exists that blows away the iPhone.

IRRITATED

I just watched the presentation of the iPhone...that phone is amazing too btw. Apple really over did themselves this time. I have been reading on here for about the past hour trying to catch up with what NEW phones that SPRINT is offering to compete...and I dont see ANYTHING...and its very discouraging after seeing that iPhone in action. Does anyone know of anything sprint plans on releasing to compete with cingular? And who is getting the shine?

Where's the Sprint?!

Maybe it's because they haven't been able to get all the info or news up yet, but it seems as if Sprint and/or CDMA phones in general are few and far between at this years CES... just a thought.
