LG VX-8700

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this! When you're doing something else on the phone and a call comes in, you can answer the phone you hear the caller, but the caller doesn't hear you! I have to hang up the phone and then return the phone call...Then, it works! I'm using a Motorola HS850 or a Plantronics320. Does it on both! Any ideas or suggestions????

While the clock in the external window is legible against contrasting backgrounds. The Caller ID number comes up against a similar dark funky type of background in the external window..basically making it hard to read in any kind of light.

Is there a fix on the way? Both LG and Verizon agree but offer no solution

I have about 150 pictures stored in my micro card on my vx8700. I created some sub-folders on the card using my PC, but those subfolders and the photos inside them do not display on the phone.

Is there any way to make subfolders? Or am I stuck viewing all my pics in one big folder?

In the statistic listing for the 8700, phonescoop says that this phone is not "data capable" https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p =1104

Is this the capability that one needs to tether the phone to a laptop or is it something else?

My pics are all coming out with a space top and bottom or pics sent to me with a big white space at the bottom. Anybody else having this problem?

what version of bluetooth does the verizon version come with? i have a new cd player that has bluetooth compatitibility and i want to be able to transfer my phone book to my head unit. will this phone do it?

Can anyone tell me if the ringer is loud enough on the 8700? As loud as the Motorola MAXX? I got the Samsung 740 on my new every two and the ringer is too low for me

How do you manual program the vx8700? Menu, zero doesn't work.

Hey, The bitpim site states that you can store ringtones on the microsd card. I've done this on previous phones but can't get it to work on the 8700. Bit pim loads fine and I can access file-systems and such. I created a folder on the card labeled "ringers" and dropped in my mp3's (cut to around 30 seconds) when i tell it to get data from the phone and select ringtones it seems to work but it only runs for a few seconds. I send data back to the phone and again it finishes in a few seconds. power cycle the phone and there is still nothing showing up in the ringtones folder on the phone.

Any ideas? Also have any of you gotten this to work on your 8700?

This is the newest update to the 8700. It will have a 5 MP camera, music controls and larger front display and stereo speakers. SE means "special edition" and the phone will be made from titanium. Due out early July.

this is the first LG phone i've bought, and i am satisfied overall. Great looks, brains and athleticism.

however, i can only add a maximum of 10 phone numbers in a Group (under Contacts). that means that you can have only 10 Contact numbers under, say, "Friends". For a phone that can potentially hold 1000 Contact names, this is ridiculous.

i've talked to Verizon second tier tech support, and I've been told that all LG phones are set up to hold up to 10 Contacts in one Group.

is there a way to expand the maximum numbers in a Group? i use this alot. HELP!

Because the speaker is on the inside, when the phone rings, is it quiet or does it sound muffled? Is all the sound being trapped on the inside of the phone until you open it?

Any feedback on this type of case?

What do you recommend - the pouse that comes with the phone or something else?

Hate to be a pain-in-the-ass, I know there are a lot of threads on this, but I have never done it before. Once you email a ringtone or pic, how do you set as ringtone or wallpaper. Do I need a data cable or can I move it from my email on phone to sounds or pics? Thanks.

I saw this phone cause I work for the fcc. Unreal- 6 MP Camera, large external display- new vivid bright technology. Stereo speakers, sim compatible and case made of new composite plastic. Launch in September for sure.

I've taken a few pictures, they are on my phone because one of them is on my display. If I try to look at my pictures, all I get is a 'quick list' of the photos and then it goes back to my 'display'.

Anyone else have that problem. NOW, if I turn off the phone and forget about accessing my photos, they eventually show up. It is pretty strange.. thanks, Susan
