qwerty keys

Is the fact the keys are rather small and cramped an issue at all when texting, or does it just pose a bit of a learning curve?

Got an unlocked i600 but...

I like everything about this phone except that the one I got has many missing features found in other windows mobile phones. I think this might have to do with where I got the phone from.

It is an unlocked phone I purchased online from Canada for $520. The worst missing feature is that the phone doesn't have pocket MSN. And there is no way you can re-install it. So, I couldn't send msn message and check my hotmail. I do know that the i600 sold in the US has everything a standard WM phone has (plus programs Cingular puts in.)

Other problem I have is that I cannot use this phone as a bluetooth dialup modem like I always do with my other WM smartphones (although you can use the usb cable or bluetooth PAN network, they are just not th...

Upgrade to windows 6.0?

Anyone know when this update will be available through AT&T/Cingular? Just figured it would be out soon since T-mobile has already updated the "dash" and has the "wing" preloaded.

Any way to add contacts sorted first, last by default?

Every time I add a contact, I have to go all the way to down to Sofile as File as: to and and change it to first, last. Is there any way to make it so that every time I add a contact, it files them as first, last without me having to change it?

Thanks!

Dialing phone numbers with text

I'm not sure how to properly search for this question, so if it's already been answered on the forums than I'm sorry for asking again.

Is it possible to dial numbers with text in them on the BlackJack? I've seen it done with Blackberries, but I haven't been able to find a solution for the BlackJack.

For example, if I wanted to dial 1-866-CINGULAR but I didn't know the phone number for the "CINGULAR" part. Or 1-800-MY-APPLE. Pressing and holding the keys doesn't change the numbers like I thought it would, but I am hoping that there is a way. Seems like an overlooked design flaw if not.

Thanks.

SDIO

Does anyone know if this phone supports SDIO? To be more specific, I want to find out if one of these:

Will work in the Blackjack. I realize that these probably aren't generally available yet.

All apps go to home screen after 10 seconds idle

This never happened before and one day all of the sudden it started. Whenever I'm in an application on my blackjack, about 10 seconds in of being idle (when the backlight dims) the home screen will pop up. I will have to use back to get into my application again. This is really annoying and I could not find any setting that seemed to be doing this. Anybody know how to fix this?

Thanks!

Proper data package

I see there has been some arguing as to which data package should be provisioned with the Samsung Blackjack, and the correct one is a PDA connect 39.99 unlimited plan. I'm gettin this straight from the proprietary Learning Edge lesson reuqired of all employees towards this new device. I do believe that other company owned stores are full of clowns that 1. are misinformed of the proper provisioning and dont ever read our assigned trainings or 2. they aren't confident in their sales skills and almost give up by giving a customer a unlimited data package like smartphone connect or a mediamax. The truth is we make more money by putting on a 40 dollar plan and some reps baby these customers into thinking that the data plans should cost less. ...

Blackjack and ActiveSync 4.5 - 3 computers 3 different results

Hello

I just bought my Blackjack a week ago. I have been trying to install the active sync 4.5 software on 3 different computers and I have gotten different results each time. I have been successful on only one computer. Cingular chat has tried to help but they have not succeeded. I tried Microsoft support and I got someone in India who gave some very unintelligent advice (msconfig) and the level 2 support person at Samsung had no idea what to do. In fact I found out that he was supposed to bring up to level 3. All this has wasted a lot of time and made me very frustrated.

All three computers are running XP. I am installing the same software.

Here is the results of each computer:

1. This is a HP/Compaq laptop which actually wor...

Should Samsung recall the Blackjack?

My recent experience with owning a Blackjack and having read about a number of frustrating issues on forums makes me think that there must be a manufacturing flaw in early Blackjacks and think Samsung should replace the defective units for its customers.
I own a Blackjack that was purchased around the start of December 2006 which was shortly after its release. The phone exhibited some strange problems and the big one that everyone complains about is battery life. Samsung must have known the phone had issues with this otherwise why else include another battery and charger for it. Has any other phone maker done this? Seems to be a last minute decision to avoid customer complaints.
The battery life was horrible and so was the signal strength....

Good for AOL?

Is the Blackjack good for AOL users? I am torn between the Pearl and the Blackjack.

I was waiting for the N75, but it seems that that phone was crippled by Cingular now.
