Samsung SYNC SGH-A707

Is there anyway to adjust the outside display? The light shuts off in a few seconds and to see if you have any missed call you have to hold the button down for several seconds or flip the phone open. Most phone have a muted outside display that allows you to see if you have missed calls or messages at a glance. Is this possible with the Sync?

I recently bought my A707 from zendoo.com and I turned it on perfectly the first time but now I try to turn it on and the main display turns on red and the mini display says "download." Any suggestions or did i get hosed by buying a cell phone online.

What kind of problem is there with the phone?

Can I get the phone hook up the usb and transfer songs to phone... if not, why?

Can I turn off the keypad tones, how?


Can I turn off shutter sound, how?

Is there any problems that i might have with phone later down the road...

i am a 15 yr.. old kid... all I will be using on the phone is camera... mp3... and calling... wat can possibly cause me problems... if there is anything else i nee...

i'm trying to make the text message notification sound one of my mp3's or a song i've downloaded and it's not letting me. any one have any suggestions?

it's let me do personalized rings for specific people and i've changed my main ring to an mp3.

i go to the profile setting and try to change the text notification ring but the ring tones i've downloaded aren't in the my stuff audio folder.

they are in the my stuff audio folder when i open it using the menu search screen.

i hope this makes sense.

Just picked up this phone yesterday at best buy. I was hoping to find an RSS reader for this phone. Any suggestions?

I can't figure out how to transfer files from my PC directly to the microSD card using bluetooth. No matter what configuration I set the phone to the files always are downloaded to the phone memory and not the microSD card. I've tried everything. For example, I turned "bluetooth visibility" on for the card and off for the phone memory. Files still transfer to the phone memory. Sure, I can move the files from the phone memory to the microSD card, as long as they're not too large, but this is a pita.

Any help, ideas, etc.?

Has anyone experienced problems with the MP3 feature on this phone? Just about every time I push the music note button and then hit the silver key in the middle of the menu it gives me a message "Memory card has an unrecognised format! Reformatting will erase all data. Reform now?" When I push the "no" key it takes me to my Music which shows no music in All Music files, 13 under Recent Music (I believe these are the 13 songs that I've played on this phone so far), and then 13 under Most Played Music. When I get down to Recent Music and hit the silver button it gives me each of my songs and I hit the silver button to play the first one and it says "This file does not exist." I MUST be doing something wrong! PLEASE HELP!

Does this phone have voice dialing? It seems to have everything else I want. what's the price on it?

I currently have a Nokia 3100 (stop laughing!) and one of the features I love about it is that I can put each contact into a group (Family, Friend, Work, VIP, ...) and then select a Profile which will allow/block certain groups from ringing my phone. (i.e. When the Family profile is set, only those calling me from the Family group will ring the phone. The phone will stay silent for all other callers.) This works great for when I am sleeping as I will only allow certain people to ring through, while blocking those that I don't care to talk to at that time. Can this phone do this easily?

Just wondering, does the Sync have a memory limit. Would a 1GB memory card be too big?

Is the outside screen the same as the inside screen?

Does anybody know if it possible to minimize the media player, and use other features on the phone without stopping your music. If there is no way to do this, I see it as a serious flaw in the phone, and may determine whether or not I keep this phone or swap it for the LG offered by Cingular that also allows for stereo bluetooth.

I am now looking at this phone when I switch over to Cingular. How good is this phone at signal pulling? I am looking for a phone that will do well out in the back country. I know that I will not be able to call in every location, but if there is a chance of getting a call out how well will this phone work?

I was wondering if anyone had a small pool of liquid develop in the middle of their display? I have this problem with my Sync and I wondered if this was a problem with others

Which channels of xm radio do they have ? I heard 25 channels but which ones ?

There are times when I just want to ignore an incoming call and don't want the call to go to my voice mail. Can this be done and if so how?

This phone also has a feature called a "Reject List" what does this feature do?

I am wanting to purchase this phone and was wondering if anyone could tell me if you can get onto myspace with it? Where I work the computers are so protected that I can't pull up anything I'm interested in. Please help ☹️

Does anyone know if there is a way you can listed to XM radio thru the motorola bluetooth stereo headset??

I've got the A707 SYNC and I can't seem to figure out how / if you can disable the shutter sound. I can only change it to one of three (all annoying) sounds. If there's a way to disable this please let me know!
