Does anyone know how to put plain black wallpaper on the outside screen ? I would like to loose the "white frame".

ok im wondering if there is any way to view the pictures full on the screen after you saved them? everytime i save them, i go back and its a smnall version and wont view in full screen. thanks!!

Please help ... I live and die by my calendar. It's the only thing that keeps me on track at work and at home. The problem ... with this phone I could have something scheduled two weeks out, and the calendar icon stays lit on my main display. With every other phone I've had, once all tasks were completed, the calendar icon would go out. I've set the reminder to "on time" and even to "off" but that doesn't remedy the problem. Does anyone know of any settings to use so that damned icon disappears when all of the day's tasks are omitted / not scheduled? [short of not using the calendar at all]. Thanks!

Is this possible? With my old LG phones I was able to add words by typing it in ABC mode then changing to T9 and pressing 0 at the end of the word to save it. I do that now and it does not work.

Advise anyone?

This phone is pretty cool, but it has one major problem for me.

I hate that the external LCD automatically goes off no matter what. This means that if I'm away from my phone, I can't just glance at the external LCD when I come back to see if I missed a call. Instead I have to hold the little external button to check if I missed a call.

Also, I can't just glance at it to see the time. It's like having to press a button on your watch every time you look at it!

Does anyone know if there's any way around this? Some kind of software update, hack, etc., that will make the external LCD stay on?

I can't figure out how to get the front screen to turn on when i push a button while the phone is closed. in order for the front screen to turn on i have to open the phone. Does anyone know how to get that to work? I mainly use it so i can see the time and stuff.

I currently have the lg 8100 and think that it is one of the best phones out there, but I am currently looking for a smaller/slimmer phone. I tried the razor and hated it, I have heard pretty bad things about the lg8600 (for texting purposes) , but this phone may be just what I am looking for. Can anyone tell me if you can read texts and put your own pictures on the front screen of this phone? Another thing I am really hoping for in a phone is the ability to change the font size 😳 when sending and receiving texts, does anyone know of any phone that allows this? Thanks for any help!

Does anyone else have poor bluetooth reception? I'm on my second phone thinking it was the phone. I have two Motorola earpieces (H500 & H700) and unless I hold the phone up to like my shoulder, I hear crackling and static when the person I'm talking to is speaking. This weekend I went out and bought a Samsung earpiece. At first it seemed totally clean, but I'm noticing it too isn't crisp and clear like the bluetooth was with my Razr.

If you have the phone opened normal, and then flip it to the horizontal mode very quickly without letting the screen touch the keypad the screen is turned the other way. You will have it opened in "Landscape mode" but the screen is as if it was in the normal mode. This also works vice versa.

I have been considering getting this phone, love everything about it. My only question is how is the battery life on this phone??

I have heard mixed things about samsung phones in general, and was curious if anyone knew the answer?

Which is a better cell phone? I will give you my honest take on the Samsung because I just bought it two days ago...

The samsung is the hottest phone out right now, lookwise, in my opinion. I really like that i have it an no one else really does yet. i dont mind the camera, however the env's 2.0 is appealing. i think the speakerphone, texting, different menu layouts, are all great. Heres what I'm really getting down to as my worry and why I may switch to the EnV....

Okay so im lookin to pimp my fone 🤨 but on the verizonwireless website..they link you to vskins.com... okay no problem so far..then we go to samsung and look for our phone... now here is where the problem/confusion arises. They have on the website a Samsung U710...there is no such thing as a U710, but if you notice..it could potentially be a typo because on ur right number keypad the four is right above the one which could lead to a mistake..oo ps although labelled the 'U710' the picture shown is the U740...what do you think!?

I just looked at this phone a like it, but was not able to change the size of the dialing digits. Both normal and large did not change anything. Is this a known bug (don't know how that can be) or is there another way to change the size.

Have this phone and love it. I was using my phone yesterday and noticed a red dot (looks like a dead pixel) on my screen. Changed wallpaper to make sure that it wasn't the pic. Realized that whenever I have a dark background it would show up, but if background is light it doesn't show. Was just wondering if anyone else has this problem. I have warranty and insurance so I am not too bothered by it, just wanted to see if this is a big problem to look out for.
