Alternative to Outlook?

I understand that the Blackberry works very well with Outlook but are there any alternatives? I don't like being tied to a poorly designed address manager and certainly would never use Outlook for my email.

7130e vs. 8703e

Has anybody done a detailed comparsion between the 7130e and 8703e. Aside from the form factor and keyboard are there any differences in features, voice quality etc?

Attachments on 8703e without special software?

I have a BB 8700c on Cingular and are considering switching to VZ. I have two major complaints, hopfully someone can help me out; the people at the VZ stores are not too knowledgeable I've found (3 out of 3 all had totally differing stories/ideas).

1) the phone quality at Cingular sucks for this device. I also have a Razr and it seems fine 99% of the time. The BB I usually hear OK, but they don't hear me too well. Too much background noise seems to throw it off. Is this the same with VZ? The store people say its Cingular's network; maybe it is, maybe it ain't... Also, is VZ CMDA the SAME as Sprint's or not and if NOT what is the difference? Sprint service in my home is dismal; will it be the same for me at VZ?

2) At Cingular I cannot...

EV-DO 7250 vs. 8703e

I work at a corporate vzw location, and plan on going with one of the 2, but can't decide which.

I mean, besides cosmetics and speakerphone, (which i don't use anyway) I can't see a real huge difference between the 2. Is there some sort of secret feature that I don't know about that would merit me spending the huge amt of cash on the 87?

Never knew how much...

...I missed the BB operating system until I used both the Windows Mobile and Palm OS after suing a Blackberry. Both systems as far as I was concerned did not do anything right; as either a PDA or a communication device. I just got my 8703E today and have a definitive appreciation for a real business tool for the contemporary busniess professional. It may not have all the little bells and whistles as the other 2 but this is the first time in a long time that I have been bale to use my device and not have to do a soft reset. I AM IN HEAVEN!!!!!

shortcuts

I just got my Blackberry 8703e. I am not sure what I think of it yet, but one thing has come up. On my Blackberry 7250, if I hit "m", it went to mail, "l" went to calendar", "t" went to tasks, "b" went to the browser", "k" went to keyboard lock, etc. The Blackberry 8703e does not do that! I have to waste time scrolling though the options to find anything -- it is a bad as Windows.

I haven't read all the documentation yet, so I am hoping there is an option to do this. I find it hard to believe they would take away this feature!

I had a 7250 and could not listen to them on that . Any know if there are any third party apps that you can use on 8703e to get this done?

Memory card?

Does this crackberry have a sd memory card slot? Also, do you think they'll ever add a camera to the blackberries? I realize it is brand new, but how does the 8703e compare to the other available models from verizon within the same category? Thanks in advanace.
