HTC Dash / S620 / S621 (Excalibur)

This phone is UGULEEY! What are they thinking? I mean in a world of the Motorola Q & Samsung i320 why would u even bring this thing out? Wait I can see the future... this thing will be up and out before we know it. mark my words.

Anyone notice the following:

1) when u send an email from your gmail account at a computer, it shows up on the handset? I"ve called Tmobile and they said to set up filters on MYTMOBILE.COM. Done that and it doesn't work. ANYONE HAVE A CLUE ON WHAT TO DO?

2) also, once you read an email a few moments later when u go back into the inbox...it's gone!! Again called TMobile and no one can answer what is going on.

3) lastly what's up with this joggr? keeps beeping when I pick it up to answer the phone. UGH. Can't control the tap, went to the controls. So I turned it off.

Anyone have any solutions, please help. Otherwise this piece of sh%& is going back and I'm picking up a PEARL.

Is there a way to default the DASH to regular typing, without the 'smart type', or whatever thats called when you type the suggestable words show up? I find that very annoying..............

also, why cant I send a TEXT message to an email address? The DASH tells me I must send from my email account to another email address. If so, thats beyond silly. My treo does that with ease.................am I mising something?

ok so i was looking online for free apps and i run across a universial remote that is soo cool looking and its free! but then i try to run on my phone and it says for windows phones but the damn prog says dose not run with ur device or some lame stuff... any one wann agive me a hand ..

Hi everybody, I'm deciding right now whether to get the DAsh or the Blackberry. I'm currently under a Sprint and I hopefully will be signing on to T-Mobile. The reason I want a smartphone is because I had a pda for four years that just died on me last month and I want a phone and pda in one.

Now it seems like both of these phones sync with Microsoft outlook, great for organizing calender and tasks, both are easy to type things in, what is really so different from them besides the price? Also the price I was quoted for the Dash is 85 dollars and 150 dollars for the Blackberry 8700G.

how do you reconnect the edge/gprs on the dash after you disable it on accident?

How do I silence a text message ringer?

Every time someone sends a text message or leaves a voice mail while im on the phone the ringer plays through my bluetooth.... :-( HOW DO I CHANGE THAT?

I see it advertised in the marketing materials and on the box itself that the Dash includes voice dial and voice command software but can't find it anywhere on the phone. Can anyone shed any light on this for me? Thanks in advance for your response.

HTC/T-MO missed the boat again. This device BEGS for a touch screen. That plus the high priced data options will keep me away and keep me enjoying my Treo 650 for a while longer.........with $6/month data plan!!!

Has anyone gotten this to work with the Slingbox. I am having trouble connecting to it.

I have had a Treo 700p for a week. It's going back and I may be leaving Sprint if the Dash will do the job. The 700p won't stream aacplus Shoutcast as I had been informed that it would. Since there is a difference in the PPC version and the Smartphone version of WM, Here are a few questions:

1) Does anyone here stream ShoutCast with your Dash?
2) Does anyone here stream any kind of radio with your Dash?
3) Does anyone use Resco Pocket Radio?

Is WM5 for smartphones really that bad?

I'm looking to get my first Smartphone/PPC Phone and I'm really liking the S620. I also like the 8525, but the price is a lot steeper and I really don't like the idea of a sliding keyboard.

I'll be using whatever I get mostly as a phone, but also to keep track of my schedule, probably checking e-mail occassionally, AIM, and also to store my contact's addresses, etc. Bluetooth 2.0 is a must, and wifi would be fun.

Basically I'm just wondering if WM5 for smartphones is really that bad for what I want it for? Or is it just a preference thing that people are complaining about it?

Can POP3/IMAP email only be received over a "WiFi" or Hotspot Connection? Or does it automatically arrive over GPRS/EDGE like the SDK2 and SD3?

This will actually decide if I get the phone or not.

Can someone please tell me if and how I can make more than just the current or immediately approaching appointment visible on my home screen? I know Pocket PCs show as many as will fit on the screen, but my Dash (Windows Mobile 5 for Smart-phones) will only display one at a time. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have tried to download Agile Messenger on my dash but it doesn't seem to work. I get error screens everytime. Could someone please give me a walkthrough on this because I can't seem to figure it out. Do I need to download EXE files to a computer and then move them or can I do it directly on my phone and install it from there. If the latter, whats the process?
