AT&T's GoPhone Lands Samsung Appeal with Android

AT&T today announced the Samsung Galaxy Appeal for users of its prepaid GoPhone service. The Appeal is a sideways slider with full QWERTY keyboard for messaging and it runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The Appeal has a 3.2-inch HVGA 480x320 display and includes a 3-megapixel camera, 512MB RAM, 1.8GB ROM, 800MHz ARM Cortex A5 from Qualcomm, and supports microSD cards up to 32GB. The Galaxy Appeal can be paired with several data plans, including 1GB for $25 per month, 200MB for $15 per month, or 50MB for $5 per month. It will launch in Wal-Mart stores June 5, and will reach all other GoPhone distribution points by July 15.
