BB 8310 Micro sd card space
Someone posted stating that the BB could hold up to a 32G card. Someone else said that they bought a 8G card, and then used the BB to format it, and it came up as a 4G card. If it is like mine, it actually gives you 3.6G of space. I had bought an 8G card, loaded it using an adapter (because putting 3+ Gigs of music through the phone takes FOREVER!) on my computer. After I was done I removed the card from the computer and put it into my BB. When my BB got done booting up, it said that there was corrupted data on it. If I only put 3.7 or 3.8 G's of "stuff" on the 8G card, the BB would read it.

I have a very new 8110 with OS 4.5 on it, and can take up to an 8 gig card, and actually am using one. I have a friend that has a branded Pearl, updated to OS 4.5, but it can only do a 4 gig because the carrier doesn't sell anything larger yet.
And it shows up with less than 4 gigs total because in order to call it a 4 gig, or any other sized, card you just have to be within rounding to it. The higher the class and better the brand of card, the closer to being a true 4 gig it will be. There is also going to be space reserved for the formatting of the card et al. My 8 gig card shows 7.7 gigs total space.

Look at the "Specifications... Memory"
I am not sure if there is anyway to get it updated to take the larger sizes, and FYI, it looks like it does microSD but not microSDHC, there is a difference. Mine supports microSDHC, which is 4GB and larger, microSD maxes out at 4GB, as of right now. And in curiosity, I actually found out that mine can go up to 32GB when those finally come out.
