So... when does this come out for sale in the States? It's already available in Canada. No retailers around me though seem to have a clue as for a release date in the states. I did a couple searches in this forum but found nothing of relevance.

Also, known carriers for the Javelin?

I have an 8300 and would like to replace it... it's dieing. This seems like a great choice if it's available for AT&T.

Thanks!

Umm, AT&T already has the Bold, which is very similar, you might want to check that out...

As for US release of the Curve 8900, there isn't anything firm, but rumors say T-Mobile will get first crack either late this year or early next year... after that it will be interesting... Probably AT&T, then Verizon, then the rest of the CDMA companies.

yep, i know AT&T has the bold... dont care for it much. prefer the smaller curve. Not a big difference, ya i know... but then if it wasn't such a big deal, BB wouldnt have bothered to begin with, right?

Id also heard that BB was coming out with something for AT&T to answer the Storm. Anyone know or have thoughts on this or is it just bs?

As long as Verizon meets sales goals, they will keep the Storm exclusive rights.

There are some touchscreen Bold and Curve like devices in the works, but these are not going to hit market until late 2009 more than likely.

Keep in mind, that AT&T will be one of the last, more than likely, to get the new Curve 8900, and as of right now, the 8900 does not have 3G. This might change, and will have to when it gets to AT&T, but if you get an unlocked one and have AT&T 3G will be a no go.
