Giving Curve to Girlfriend but...

...here's the deal:

She has a Pearl and I have a Curve (both with AT&T). I recently bought an iPhone and wanna give her my Curve. However when they activated my iPhone I didn't have the chance to delete my old BIS email accounts on the Curve. I don't know how else to remove them. So that's the first problem.

Also, when she tried using her SIM card to test out the phone, one of my old BB Messenger contacts sent a message. How is this possible? How do I stop this from happening? Last thing I need is for one of my buddies to say something incriminating. lol.

Anyway, any other advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Not sure if this will help you or not, but here is my somewhat similar situation...

I bought a used Blackberry Pearl for Verizon from a local guy. When I tried to set up my email and such it said this PIN was already in use. I called into VZW and asked them how to fix this. They said that all they had to do was "release the PIN", basically reseting all the previous users accounts and contacts attached to that PIN. So then I just had to setup all my own email accounts and add my own BB messenger contacts.

Like I said, this could be completely different in your situation since your with a completely different carrier and such, but I hope this helps!

Try doin a master reset. That should take the phone back to original settings and delete anything on the phone. Its under secruity settings; general settings; hit menu; wipe handheld; type in blackberry; and wait a min. that should take care of it.

true but the pin is still active because the pin is wht is used to route the e-mails to the device(i think) what i suggest go to att.com/blackberry start and try to deactivate the device or delete ur e-mail accounts from so she wont get any of the e-mails as far as BB messenger jus tell ur friends to quit sending u sh!t! lol
