Winmo direct push email

So I got an HTC Fuze, unlocked it, ripped the software and installed new non-AT&T ROM. I'm trying to get some direct push software for instant email notification (like what is available for Blackberry).

I know that there is software that it is "supposed to be" available with the new version of software that is available for the Tilt, but since AT&T hasn't officially released the technology for it, the phone is not bringing up the PIN# required to run off of Blackberry's server, so that software won't work.

Anyone have a (preferable free) fix for this? Or new software that can be downloaded for "instant" email notification.

Thanks in advance.

Your question makes ZERO sense! The Fuze and the Tilt are 2 different phones, first off. Second off, your Fuze already has direct push email capabilities, or "instant" as you put it... Actually, the activesync on the WinMo devices is more instant than with a BB. Thirdly, their is working BlackBerry connect software already with the AT&T ROMs and has the sole purpose of letting you access a blackberry email account on your WinMo device.

Most importantly, if you think you ripped some software so you could flash a non-stock ROM on your phone, you shouldn't be flashing cooked ROMs. You run the risk of bricking your phone, even more so considering you obviously don't understand anything about what you are talking about.

Obviously they are different devices, however the majority of forums including information regarding hooking the Fuze up to the BB server explain to use the Tilt software, which works only for the Tilt because since AT&T has released the availability, they provide a PIN# to connect with the BB server. However, (as I stated above) since the capability for the Fuze to connect to the BB server has not yet been released, no PIN is released once the BB software has been installed. Since this "fix" to the issue (using the Tilt software) has already been discussed on other forums (and as explain...

The pay off is well worth it. I have been flashing for 5 years, and cooking for 2 years now. I have a Kaiser, so my main knowledge of apps is for that phone.

Not sure why your BB connect is not working with your Fuze. I have never used the program, but from what I understood, it was setup so that if you had a BB account already, you could use that on the WinMo device.

It would probably be best if you went to xda-developers.com and sought out support there. It is an amazing community, and there is usually at least a couple people with first hand expertise willing to help anyone out. As well, the community is responsible for the majority of hacking development for HTC phones, so if they say it can't be done, then it is pretty much a...

I got the ROM from xda, but haven't seen the fuzemobility site yet. I'll have to check that one out when I get home. (locked out of "non-approved" sites 🙄 )

Thanks! 🙂
