After the battle, Cyrus will run off. Make sure you Heal and Save, because
you have one more battle. Legendary Pokemon time!

/-------------------------------------------- -----------------------------\
Legendary Pokemon Palkia or Dialga
-------------------------------------------- -----------------------------
Level 47
Dialga: Steel/Dragon
Palkia: Water/Dragon
-------------------------------------------- -----------------------------
Info: This is something I am sure many of you have been waiting for.
Diamond players will fight Dialga and Pearl players will fight
Palika.

You might be exhausted from the battle you just fought, since I am
sure you went all out against Cyrus. If you are low on PP, use a PP
restoring item now. Both Pokemon have Dragon Claw and Ancientpower
and a special move (Roar of Time for Dialga and Spacial Rend for
Palkia). The only major difference is the other attack: Palkia has
Water Pulse, while Dialga has Metal Claw.

So, how do you damage them? Best thing to do is use your best
attacker and gauge how much damage it does. Your main goal is to
get them down to a small amount of health, about 10% or so. If
you have a Pokemon that knows Thunder Wave or a Sleep move, use it
to make them easier to capture.

You can use the Master Ball if you want, but both have medium
capture rates, so you should have no problem. On my second try, I
got them with just 9 Ultra Balls used.

A reader was kind enough to send me a helpful strategy that you can
use just by catching a Machoke in Mt. Coronet:

"I found a good tip for catching Palkia. If you have a Machoke
around level 40, it should have Revenge. If not, then too bad.
But if it does, use Revenge. while Palkia still has good health,
as long as it didn't kill Machoke in one hit. Revenge should get
it at extremely low health without killing it. I caught it with
a net ball after trying with 2 ultra balls. It was way easier than
yours (no offense).....and I found it by accident."

Another person by the name of Stupider339 was kind enough to send
in this tip:

"I have found a much faster way to catch Dialga. Just make sure
that you have a quick ball. USe it on the first turn. And you will
have a pretty good chance getting it. I found that out because I
was argueing with my sister on whether or not to use the master
ball. She say yes i say no. So we decided that we use the quick
ball first. If it failed then use the master ball. I won the
arguement. So using the quick ball on the first turn works like
a master ball but it can fall."

And now, a explanation on why it is a good idea to use it: The
Quick Ball has a 4x chance rate of capture when you use it in the
first 5 turns. Unlike other legendaries, Dialga and Palkia have a
catch rate of 45: very high for a legendary and common for most
bigger Pokemon. However, I recommend at least weakening it on the
first turn before you do anything
\-------------------------------------------- -----------------------------/

Whether you capture them or defeat them (Which you should not have done),
you are finally done with Mt. Coronet. if you caught them, head over to the
other side and pick up the Adamant Orb in Diamond and Lustrous Orb in Pearl.
Both make Dialga and Palkia's type attacks much more powerful (Steel/Dragon
for Dialga, and Water/Dragon) for Palika).

Leave Mt. Coronet, and head to Veilstone. Head to the Valor Lakefront, and
then go to the right where it was once blocked. You can now enter Route 222.
