Former SEPULTURA and current SOULFLY/CAVALERA CONSPIRACY frontman Max Cavalera has told Eleanor Goodman of U.K.'s Bizarre magazine that he wasn't aware the upcoming SEPULTURA album "A-Lex" is based on "A Clockwork Orange" — a film that inspired CAVALERA CONSPIRACY's debut, "Inflikted".

"It's just funny, because those guys don't really like 'A Clockwork Orange'!" he is quoted as saying. "I can remember watching that ****, and they were like, 'What's that stupid thing you're watching?' Even my brother [former SEPULTURA and current CAVALERA CONSPIRACY drummer Igor Cavalera] didn't like it that much — my mom hated that movie, which was probably why I liked it so much…"

"A-Lex" uses words from Anthony Burgess' original book and Stanley Kubrick's film adaptation alongside passages of classical music, while "Inflikted" – released last March – has a track called "Ultra-Violent" that features the language of the characters.

Despite the overlap in subject, Max says he"ll give "A-Lex" a shot. "Yeah, I listen to all sorts of stuff all the time, so I'll check it out," he said.
