How do you cut down the mp3 for ringtones

I have a branded w810i and i dont want to unbrand it right now. How do I cut the mp3s down so i can use them for a ringtone?

easiest thing to do is get a copy of moto's phone tools and use their multi media studio..you can cut tracks with their software......im sure there is other song editing software available though...

Try out the free trial for Sonic Foundry's Acid pro, this will do just about anything for your sound/video files whilt keeping the integrity of the file. You can also reduce the size of the file too.

i am assuming you sync with a pc. use a standard (free) media converter to convert to wave file.then use windows sound recorder (found in accessories/communications)and cut your song to how you want (30 seconds or less). then convert back to mp3 file and presto you have a ringtone. branded, unbranded it doesn't matter. 😎
